COMEDK 2025 Round 3 Seat Allotment Tomorrow: Last Chance to Complete Choice Filling Today

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will announce the Round 3 seat allotment results at 4 PM on 22 August 2025, on the official website. This being the final opportunity for candidates to gain admission under the general merit quota, candidates must finish filling choices and lock them by today (21 August 2025, by 3 PM) to be eligible for allotment.

After the allotment of a seat, candidates must confirm admission by paying the required admission fee before 28 August. Those accepting seats must report to the allotted colleges with all original documents, including the allotment letter and fee payment receipt and get their admissions confirmed. In addition, seat cancellations will also be accepted for Round 3 between 22 and 28 August. Candidates are urged to observe that Round 4, which is expected soon thereafter, will not entertain any seat cancellations. 

Round 3 counselling offers not a chance, but quite importantly so to candidates who were unable to get a seat in previous rounds or who were for the "Accept & Upgrade" choice, but were not offered an upgraded seat. Those eligible must carefully choose and finalise their preferences today as the seat allotment will be based on merit ranks, availability, and candidate preferences.

What is the COMEDK Round 3 Seat Allotment?

COMEDK conducts counselling for engineering admissions in multiple rounds. Round 3 is mainly to offer seats to General Merit (GM) category candidates who were either not allotted a seat in previous rounds or had opted for seat upgradation (‘Accept & Upgrade’). This round allows candidates another opportunity to secure admission in their preferred engineering colleges based on their rank, choices, and available seats.

How to Complete Choice Filling for Round 3?

Choice-filling means selecting and prioritizing colleges and courses where a candidate wishes to apply for admission. Follow the basic steps below:

Step 1: Go to the official counselling portal of COMEDK (comedk.org). 

Step 2: Use the COMEDK User-ID and Password to log in.

Step 3: Edit your college and course preferences. If you want, you can add new colleges, remove unwanted colleges or place your choices in a different ranking.

Step 4: After the changes, save and lock your choices before the deadline (21 August 3 PM). Only saved and locked choices will be taken into account during seat allotment.

What Happens After Seat Allotment?

• Candidates can view their seat allotment result on 22 August at 4 PM on the COMEDK website by logging in to their accounts.

• If allotted a seat, they must pay the admission fee within the specified time window to confirm their seat.

• After payment, report to the allotted college with all necessary documents, allotment letter, and fee receipt by 28 August.

• If they wish, they can cancel their seat during the seat cancellation window.
