XAT Result 2026: Toppers

The XAT Exam results will be announced after the exam is done on 4 January 2026. The results will include the names of the toppers who have secured top ranks and high percentiles. In the previous year, the XAT 2026 top performers included Aman Ehtesham with a 99.16 percentile, Siddhant Kumar with 99.05 percentile, and Harsh Dokania who scored 97.00 percentile, among others. These toppers have often shared their successful strategies, highlighting regular practice, effective time management, and extensive mock test preparation as key elements of their success.

How to Calculate XAT Score 2026

Calculating the XAT score is very simple. First, candidates need to understand the marking scheme according to which they earn one mark for every correct answer and lose 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Beyond this, if they leave more than eight questions unanswered consecutively, a penalty of 0.10 marks is applied for each extra skipped question. The General Knowledge section does not carry negative marking, but its score is not considered for the percentile calculation.

The raw score is the total marks after adding correct answers and subtracting penalties for wrong and excess unanswered questions in the main sections: Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.

XAT Score vs Percentile

The XAT percentile indicates how well a candidate performed compared to all other candidates. It is calculated using the formula:

Percentile = (Total Candidates – Your Rank)/ Total Candidates X 100

For example, if you rank 100 out of 10,000 candidates, then your percentile will be 99. This means you scored better than 99% of all aspirants. Percentiles are important as it is the primary criterion for shortlisting in most institutes, while the raw score gives the total marks you attained.

XAT 2026 Score vs Percentile Range

Here is the expected score and percentile range for XAT 2026 based on past trends:

Note:- The reason XAT scores are often referred to as being "out of ~75" is because the total marks considered for percentile calculation exclude the General Knowledge (GK) section.
