TS DOST 2025 Cutoff

The cutoff marks for any exam refer to the minimum marks requirement that every candidate must secure in order to be considered eligible. As TS DOST is not an exam but a centralized admission process, there are no separate cutoff marks that need to be met for admission into the undergraduate programs offered through it. Instead, the individual universities that participate in the TS DOST admission process release their own cutoff marks.

The cutoff marks released by the individual universities vary and are based on several factors, like the university’s popularity, demand for the specific course, and the number of applicants. Additionally, the cutoff marks are dependent upon the phase of seat allotment, as the cutoff in the first seat allotment round is typically higher as compared to the later rounds (rounds 1 and 2) if the seats remain vacant.

To secure admission into the best participating universities in the TS DOST admission process, candidates are required to score high marks during their 12th-class examination. In order to maximize their scores, they can follow the tips given below:

  • Candidates must download and understand the syllabus for each subject in their board examination.

  • Understand and get familiar with the marking scheme, weightage of chapters, and types of questions frequently asked.

  • Prioritize the primary textbooks like TSBIE and NCERT textbooks, as most questions are based on these.

  • Avoid using too many extra reference books, and instead, revise standard materials thoroughly.

  • Solve previous years’ question papers and sample papers.

  • Use past year papers to identify important topics and frequently asked questions.

  • Analyze the answers during mock papers to spot and work on weak areas. This also improves time management under pressure.

  • Make concise, subject-wise notes for quick revision, especially for formulas, dates, definitions, and key concepts.

  • Schedule regular revision sessions with the aim of revising the full syllabus at least twice before the exam.

  • Take timed mock tests to evaluate readiness for the exam and build confidence.

  • Take regular self-tests to help improve speed and bridge gaps in preparation
