The RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) invited applications for the opening vacancies from 15 April 2024 to 14 May 2024, while the exams were held from 2nd to 18th March 2025. The results for the exam were declared on 19th June 2025, with the scoreboards being available from 20th June 2025 onwards. Candidates can directly download the result from the official RRB website, https://rpf.indianrailways.gov.in.  

The Railway Police Force or RPF Constable Recruitment Exam is a central-level entrance exam to select candidates for the constable position. It is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) of the Indian Railways. For the 2025-26 session, there is an opening of 4208 vacancies, and both males and females are eligible for the post.  

Aspirants appearing for RPF should have passed the 10th class (Matriculation) from a recognised board (CBSE/ICSE), and meet specific physical standards such as height and chest measurements.

Currently, RPF is hiring for 4208 vacancies for the constable position; both male and female candidates can apply for the exam. The exam took place from 2nd to 18th May 2025, and the results of the written examination, candidates need to through a medical and physical test.

RPF is a central-level entrance exam conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board with a 3-step selection process.

RPF Constable Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria 

For the RPF constable Recruitment Exam, candidates should have a basic education qualification of 10th class from a recognized board(CBSE/ICSE). All three steps have different eligibility criteria, and a candidate needs to pass all three to be selected as an RPF Constable. 

1. Educational Qualification: Must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board(CBSE/ICSE) with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% marks for reserved categories (ST/SC/OBC). 

2. Physical Standards:

  • Height:

    • Male: 165 cm (relaxation for reserved categories)

    • Female: 157 cm (relaxation for reserved categories)

  • Chest (for males only):

    • Unexpanded: 80 cm

    • Expanded: 85 cm

3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

  • Male: Run 1600 meters in 5 minutes 45 seconds, long jump 14 feet, high jump 4 feet.

  • Female: Run 800 meters in 3 minutes 40 seconds, long jump 9 feet, high jump 3 feet.

4. Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.

5. Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

The exam conducting body, RRB, released the application form for the RPF Constable Recruitment exam on 14 April 2024. The last date to fill out the application form was 15 May 2024. The application form was available for candidates online on the official website of RRB.  

Here are the steps to follow while filling out the application form. 

Step 1: Visit the official website of RRB -  https://rpf.indianrailways.gov.in 

Step 2: Register using your basic details like name, email ID, and mobile number.

Step 3: Verify your email ID and Mobile number via OTP

Step 4: Log in with your registration credentials.

Step 5: Fill in personal details such as gender, state, pincode, etc., and upload the required documents. ( Example: Aadhar Card, PAN card, ID, etc). 

Step 6: Pay the application fee online via Credit Card/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. 

Step 7: Download the application form and print 2 copies. 

Note:- The Result for RPF Constable got released on 19th June 2025. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of RRB to download the scorecards from 20th June 2025.

RPF Constable Recruitment 2025: Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme 

The RPF Constable Recruitment Exam will be computer-based and in online mode. The question paper will include 120 questions, each containing one mark, marking a total score of 120 marks. Students will have 90 minutes to complete the question paper. 

The exam pattern will help students know the exam duration, marking scheme, mode of examination, sections of the paper, and many more.

The syllabus for the RPF Constable exam is divided into 3 subjects: Basic Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness. The question paper is prepared based on the matriculation level. The exam conducting body, RRB, releases the syllabus for RPF. It helps students to prepare according to the subjects and subtopics.

RPF Constable Recruitment 2025 Admit Card

RRB released the admit card for the RPF Constable Recruitment exam on 27th February 2025. Students who fill out the application form before the deadline with no mistakes will be allotted the admit card. It will be easily accessible on the official website of RRB, and students can download and save it from there.

  • Visit the official website of RRB. rrb.digialm.com

  • Click on the "Admit Card" section on the homepage.

  • Log in using your registered credentials (Registration Number and Password).

  • Submit the details 

  • Now, download the admit card.

Note:- Take at least two printouts for future reference or on the day of the exam. 

RPF Constable Recruitment 2025 Answer Key 

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) releases the RPF Constable Answer Key on its official website after the examination concludes. For the 2025 session, the answer key was released on March 24, 2025, days after the commencement of the exam from March 2 to March 18, 2025. 

The answer key includes all the correct answers to the questions asked in the examination and helps the students to calculate their score, predict the chance of selection, and raise any obligations (If any). 

RPF Constable Recruitment 2025 Result 

The result of the RPF Constable exam was released on 19th June 2025. Candidates will be able to access the result and their scorecard from the official website by entering their registration ID and Password. 

The result will be announced in the scorecard method, including information such as the candidate’s name, marks obtained, score, and rank. After the declaration of the results, qualified candidates will have to appear for the PET(Physical Efficiency Test). 

Railway Protection Force (RPF) released the category-wise RPF Constable Cut Off 2025 separately for male and female candidates along with its result announcement on 19th June 2025. To access the result, Candidates need to visit the RRB website to check their marks and the rank obtained. 

After the cut-offs are announced, Candidates who qualify will proceed to the next stages, that is, PET/MET, followed by Document verification, and lastly, Medical Checkup.

RPF Constable Recruitment 2025: Preparation Tips 

Preparing for the RPF Constable exam requires a mix of strategic planning, consistent effort, and the right resources. 

Here are some of the preparation tips that you can apply to qualify for the CBT of the RPF Exam 

  1. Understand the Exam Pattern and Syllabus: Understand the sections: General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). 

  2. Create a Study Plan: Create a study plan and dedicate a specific amount of time to each subject every day. Prioritise the subjects you are weaker at and give them more attention and time. 

  3. Focus on General Awareness: Keep up with current affairs, static GK, and topics like history, geography, and Indian polity. Make reading the newspaper a daily habit for general awareness. 

  4. Practice Arithmetic and Reasoning: Work on speed and accuracy using sample papers, mock tests, and previous year question papers.

  5. Take Mock Tests Regularly: Allocate time per question paper and try to complete it in the given time. Avoid taking extra time on the practice time, also start with easy question sets and then go for the tougher ones. 

  6. Prepare for Physical Fitness: Dedicate time daily to physical activities like running, jumping, and strength training to excel in the PET. 

  7. Revise regularly and smartly: Make notes of important formulas, concepts, and important topics. Use them for quick revisions in the final weeks before the exam.

  8. Stay Positive and Consistent: Be calm and relaxed while preparing. Meditate, Exercise, and take timely breaks for better preparation.

There are a total of 4208 vacancies open for both male and female candidates across various zones.
