PESSAT Exam stands for People’s Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is a university-level entrance exam conducted by PES University, Bangalore for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The application process for B.Tech Courses in PESSAT began on July 29, 2024, and the exam is expected to be held between June and July 2025, depending on the course. 

For B.Tech admissions, PES University will not conduct PESSAT in 2025. Instead, students will be admitted based on their JEE Main and KCET scores. However, PESSAT will still be held for other programs like BBA, BCA, B.Des, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, and more.

The exam is conducted online and includes MCQs. The syllabus varies by course, but for technical programs, it is based on Class 11 and 12 subjects. Candidates must register online and book their exam slots in advance. The basic eligibility for PEESAT includes a minimum of 12th pass for Bachelor and 10+2+3 for master programs.

To get admission through PESSAT Exam 2025, candidates must meet certain basic requirements set by PES University. These rules vary depending on the course that the candidate is applying for, so it’s important to check carefully before registering.

The PESSAT 2025 application form was released on July 29, 2024, and the PESSAT registration last date 2025 is July for most UG and PG courses. For B.Tech, PES University has discontinued PESSAT from 2025, and admissions will be based on JEE Main or KCET scores.

Meanwhile, students who want to apply for other courses like BBA, B.Des, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, and more can fill out the form online at pessat.com. Filling the form asks for basic details like name, date of birth, education info, and preferred course. The candidate also needs to upload a photo and a signature. The PESSAT Exam fee to complete the application process is INR 1200, and it can be paid online using debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI. After submitting the form, students should save a copy for future use.

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility before applying and book their exam slot early to avoid last-minute issues.

PESSAT 2025 Admit Card

The PESSAT 2025 admit card will be released online in August 2025, after candidates complete their slot booking, which begins in July 2025. Only those who fill the application form and book their exam slot will be able to download the admit card from pessat.com. 

This admit card is mandatory for entry into the exam centre. Without the admit card, candidates will not  be allowed to appear for the test. The admit card contains important details like your name, roll number, exam date, time, venue, and instructions. To download the admit card, log in using your registration number and date of birth, then take a printout. Also, carry a valid photo ID and a passport-size photo on exam day.

Candidates are advised to make sure to check all details on the admit card carefully and if there’s any mistake, contact PES University immediately for correction. Additionally, Keep two copies safe for future use.

The PESSAT 2025 answer key will be released a few days after the exam is conducted, between January and August 2025, depending on the course. Candidates who appeared for the test can download the answer key from the official PES University website using their registration number and date of birth.

The Answer Key will be further released in two parts, first an provisional answer key containing all the answers to the questions asked in the examination, where candidates will have an opportunity to raise obligation, if found any, followed by the final answer key, which marks as the last and final answer key. 

This answer key helps students estimate their scores before the official results are announced. It shows the correct answers for each question, allowing candidates to compare them with their own responses. 

PESSAT 2025 Result 

The PESSAT 2025 results will be declared by PES University within 3 days of the exam for other courses like MBA, MCA, BBA, and M.Tech. Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website pessat.com and logging in with their registration number and date of birth.

The result includes your section-wise scores, total marks, and rank, which are crucial for the counselling and admission process. A merit list will also be released for B.Tech candidates on February 28, 2025, based on their performance.

Along with it, make sure to download and save your scorecard, as it will be required during counselling. In case of any errors in the rank card, students must contact the university immediately for correction.

The PESSAT 2025 cutoff is the minimum score needed to qualify for admission into various UG and PG programs at PES University. Although PESSAT is discontinued for B.Tech admissions, cutoff scores still apply for courses like MBA, M.Tech, B.Des, and others. The cutoff varies by course, category, and campus.

For general category students, the expected cutoff is around 118, while for SC/ST/PH categories, it’s approximately 114. For MBA programs, the cutoff ranges between 111–114 for general and 107–110 for reserved categories.

Cutoffs are influenced by factors like exam difficulty, number of applicants, and seat availability. PES University will release the official cutoff after results are declared in August 2025.

PESSAT 2025 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The PESSAT 2025 exam is conducted by PES University for admission into various UG and PG programs. It is held in online mode (except for B.Des) and follows a multiple-choice format. The Pessat exam duration is either 180 minutes or 120 minutes, depending on the course. The number of sections and questions also varies by program.

Note: For B.Des, the exam is a pen-and-paper Design Aptitude Test (DAT) with sketching and visualisation tasks.

The PESSAT 2025 counselling will begin in August 2025, after results are declared for various UG and PG courses. Only students who qualify the exam and meet the eligibility criteria can participate in this counselling and seat allotment process. The process includes two rounds of counselling, held at PES University, Bangalore.

Candidates must register online, upload their Class 12 marks, and carry original documents like admit card, rank card, ID proof, and photos for verification. During counselling, students choose their preferred course and campus. Seats are allotted based on rank, preferences, and seat availability.

Once allotted, students must pay the admission fee and confirm their seat. If unable to attend in person, a parent/guardian can represent the candidate with an authorization letter. Note that missing documents or absence may lead to seat cancellation.
