The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the OJEE board for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses in Odisha. It is a centralised exam that allows students to pursue bachelor's and master's degrees from prestigious government and private universities.

The registration for the OJEE 2025 exam started on 30 January 2025, and the last date to register was 20 March 2025. The admit cards will be available from 25 April 2025 on the official website of the OJEE board. The exam will be conducted online from 2 May 2025 to 12 May 2025.  The exam consists of 60-120 multiple-choice questions based on the program. The syllabus for the exam differs based on the courses.

In addition to the main exam, a Special OJEE is scheduled for 15 and 16 July 2025, with registration open from 13 to 23 June 2025. The Special OJEE is conducted as a supplementary opportunity for candidates who could not appear in the main OJEE exam or did not participate in the first round of counseling. Its purpose is to fill vacant seats across various professional courses such as B.Tech, Lateral Entry B.Tech, MBA, MCA, and B.Pharm. This ensures that eligible candidates who missed the main exam still have a chance to secure admission in colleges across Odisha.

The OJEE 2025 exam, conducted by the OJEE board, was conducted from 2 May 2025 to 12 May 2025. The OJEE application forms for the exam were available on the portal from 30 January 2025 to 20 March 2025. Candidates could fill out the application form from the official website of OJEE. Once the exam is completed, the OJEE board will release the provisional answer key on the website.

Students will be allowed to object in case of any discrepancy in the answer key. After reviewing the challenges, the OJEE board will upload the final answer key, following which no objections will be entertained. The OJEE board will declare the result, merit list, and cut-off in the first week of June and will proceed with the counselling process.

Candidates who missed the main OJEE exam can participate in the Special OJEE (Session 2) to be held on 15 and 16 July 2025. The registration for the Special OJEE is open from 13 June to 23 June 2025.

OJEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the OJEE 2025 exam are as follows :

  • For undergraduate courses: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Biology. 

  • For postgraduate courses: Students must have a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

  • For lateral entry courses: Students must have a diploma or bachelor's degree in the relevant stream to pursue a lateral entry course.

  • Reservation: The OJEE board reserves seats for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as per government norms.

  • Age Limit: There is no age restriction for most courses, except for B.Tech Marine Engineering (maximum age: 22 years at the time of admission).

The application forms were available on the official website of www.ojee.nic.in. The application process started on 30 January 2025 and ended on 20 March 2025. However, the registration for the OJEE 2025 session 2 is currently open till 23 June 2025. The Special/2nd OJEE 2025 exam will be conducted on 15 and 16 July 2025.

Steps to fill out the application form :

Step 1: Students must first log in to their OJEE account using their registration number and password. 

Step 2: Candidates must fill in all the required details in the application form, including personal, academic, and contact information. 

Step 3: After this, students need to choose the courses for which they want to apply. 

Step 4: Subsequently, students should pay the fee online through credit/debit card, net banking, etc.

Step 5: Candidates need to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and left thumb impression in the specified format. 

Step 6: Students are guided to carefully review all the details entered and make any necessary corrections before submitting the application form.

The fee structure of the exam is prescribed by the board, and the application process is incomplete without paying the application fee. Students can pay the fee through a debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking. The application fee varies based on the number of courses applied for.

The OJEE 2025 exam is a computer-based examination scheduled from 2 May 2025 to 12 May 2025. While OJEEE session 2 is scheduled for 15 & 16 July 2025. The number of questions ranges between 60-120, depending on the course chosen by the applicant.

The admit cards for the OJEE 2025 exam were released on the official website on 25 April 2025 using their application number and password. Applicants must carry their admit card to the examination centre with all the necessary documents. Students without an admit card will not be granted entry to the examination centre.

Step 1: Go to the official website of OJEE, www.ojee.nic.in 

Step 2: Look and click on the link "Download Admit Card" on the screen visible to you.

Step 3: Enter your application number and password to log in to your account. 

Step 4: Once logged in, the OJEE 2025 admit card will be displayed. Students can download and take a printout for the exam day. 

OJEE 2025 Answer Key

The OJEE 2025 answer key will be published on the official website and is expected to be released in the last week of May, followed by allowing the students to access an objection window in case of any discrepancy. Students must submit valid proof and a fee of Rs 200 per question, along with the objection raised. No challenges will be accepted after the closure of the window. After this, the final answer key will be released on the portal of the OJEE board a few days before the result is declared.

The results for the Main OJEE 2025 exams are out on 10 June 2025 on the official website and candidates can check their results and download scorecards using their application number and password. Students qualifying in the exam will proceed further with the counselling and seat allotment process. After the seat allotment is completed, students have to report to the allotted college for the documentation process.

Step 2: Navigate to the link labelled "OJEE 2025 Result" and click on it.

Step 3: Enter your application number, date of birth, and security code to log in to the portal.

Step 4: Click the "Submit" button to view your result.

Step 5: Download the result or rank card and print it for future use.

OJEE 2025 Cutoff

For the session 2025-26, cut-offs are issued by the conducting board on its official website. It is the minimum qualifying mark or rank required for admission to various engineering, management, and other courses in Odisha. Students must qualify for the cut-off to get admission into their desired college and to be eligible for seat allotment based on their rank, preferences, and available seats. The OJEE cutoff is influenced by factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of qualified candidates, the number of available seats, and reservation policies.
