NMIMS-LAT Exam 2025: The NMIMS Law Aptitude Test (NMIMS-LAT), also known as NMIMS-NLAT, is a university-level entrance examination conducted by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). It is held to select candidates for admission to undergraduate law programs, such as the 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) courses are offered across various NMIMS campuses.

For 2025, the NMIMS-LAT took place in two phases, namely Phase 1 and Phase 2, in a computer-based test (CBT) mode. The Phase 1 exam was held from 1 March to 31 March 2025, while Phase 2 registration started on 26th March 2025, and the exam period was from 31 March to 31 May 2025.

Interested candidates can register on the official website nlat.nmims.edu by filling in the required information. To be eligible for NMIMS LAT, students should have passed their 10+2 standard from a recognized board or institute in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Note: Registration for Phase 1 began on 20 February 2025, while registration for Phase 2 started on 27 March 2025.

The NMIMS LAT is an entrance exam conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies for admission to its undergraduate law programs. These include integrated courses such as B.A. LL.B. and B.B.A. are offered at NMIMS campuses located in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Indore.

The NMIMS-LAT was conducted in two phases, allowing candidates multiple opportunities to secure admission. Registration for Phase 1 was open from 20 February to 26 March 2025, while Phase 2 registrations began on 27 March 2025 and ended on 26 May 2025. Candidates must pay an application fee of INR 2000 to complete the registration process (same for every caste and category)

The Phase 1 exam of the NMIMS-LAT was held from 1 March to 31 March 2025, and the Phase 2 examination process started from 31 March and ended on 31 May 2025. The exam is conducted online in a computer-based format at designated test centres.

NMIMS releases all the official information about the exam, such as application release date, last date, correction window, answer key, admit card, etc., on its website. Therefore, candidates are advised to visit the official website of NMIMS regularly.

NMIMS Law Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria 2025

The candidates have to clear the NMIMS Law Aptitude Test to get admission to programs offered by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. To appear for NMIMS LAT, a candidate should meet basic eligibility criteria such as: 

  • The candidate should have passed their 10+2 standard from a recognized board or institute (CBSE/ICSE) in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

  • Students in their 12th grade can also apply for NMIMS LAT. 

  • There is an upper age limit of 25 years for students to apply for this law entrance test. Any student whose age is more than 25 years is not eligible to apply for it. 

The conducting body, NMIMS, invites applications for NMIMS LAT and releases updates on its official website. With two exam phases, registration for Phase 1 opened on 20 February 2025 and closed on 26 March 2025, while Phase 2 registration started on 27 March 2025 and will end on 26 May 2025.

To apply, candidates must create an account on the NMIMS portal, fill out the application form, upload the required documents, pay the application fee of INR 2000, and select their test date and centre.

NMIMS-LAT Application Fee 2025

The application fee for NMIMS LAT is INR 2000 for everyone, irrespective of gender or caste category. Candidates must also note that this fee is for the first attempt in the NMIMS-LAT category. If a candidate chooses to take a second attempt, then the fee is also INR 2000.

NMIMS-LAT Exam Pattern 2025 

The NMIMS Law Aptitude Test will be conducted in an online, computer-based mode at designated test centers. The question paper will include 150 questions, each containing one mark, making a total score of 150 marks with no negative marking. Candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the question paper. 

The NMIMS LAT 2025 exam pattern will include information about the mode of the examination, types of questions, number of questions, marking scheme, and more. It is important that the applicants familiarise themselves with the test pattern to prepare for it well.

NMIMS-LAT Exam Structure

The question paper of NMIMS LAT will include 5 sections: Verbal Reasoning, Current Affairs (including General Knowledge), Quantitative Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Legal Reasoning, each containing 30 questions and comprising 30 marks. One mark for each question.

The exam body,  Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, will release the NMIMS LAT syllabus 2025 on its official website for the B.A. LL.B. and B.B.A. LL.B. programmes.

NMIMS-LAT 2025 Exam Admit Card

NMIMS released the admit card for both phases 15-20 days prior to the exam date. According to the information available, the NMIMS LAT 2025 admit card – Phase 1 was released in January 2025, while for Phase 2 in the end of April/ early May 2025 on the official website of NMIMS LAT. 

An admit card is an essential document to carry, without which a candidate will not be able to enter the exam hall. Students who have filled out the application form can access their admit card from the official website.

NMIMS-LAT 2025 Exam Results

NMIMS will declare the result of the NMIMS Law Aptitude Test 2025 in online mode after the commencement of the exam on 2nd June 2025 on its official website,  nlat.nmims.edu. The NMIMS Law Aptitude Test 2025 results are released in the form of individual scorecards containing the candidates' names, marks, and ranks. Candidates who qualify will proceed to counselling and seat allocation.  

For Phase 1, counselling begins on 17 April 2025, and for Phase 2, the merit list and counselling schedule were available from 19 June 2025.

The NMIMS LAT 2025 Exam Cutoffs are the minimum qualifying marks set by the NMIMS that need to be obtained to get admission into the programs offered. The cut-offs are generally announced along with the results. The cut-offs for the NMIMS are determined by various factors like exam difficulty, vacancies, number of applicants, and more. The release date for NMIMS LAT 2025 cutoffs was June 2025*. 

After the cutoff announcement, qualifying candidates will be invited for an offline counselling process, which follows the merit list release, with seat allocation based on preferences.
