The application process for the NCHMCT JEE exam was initiated on December 16, 2024, and it closed on March 15, 2025. The application correction window for it was opened from March 17 to March 20, 2025, and the exam was conducted on April 27, 2025. After the exam, the result declaration was done by NTA on May 18, following which the registration for counselling began from May 26 to 31, and seat allotment rounds were done on June 2, June 12, and June 23. Physical reporting at allotted institutes for the candidates is scheduled from July 14–18, and the academic session is set to begin from July 28, 2025.

Candidates who want to give the exam must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with English as a core, elective subject. There is no age limit as per the New Education Policy, and candidates who are going to appear in the 12th board exams are also eligible provisionally. A physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner will also be needed at the time of taking admission.

The NCHMCT JEE 2025 (National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) course offered by various IHMs across India. The purpose of the NCHMCT JEE is to select students for admission into top Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) in India. In addition to a Bachelor's course, some IHMs also offer Diploma and certificate courses.  It evaluates candidates on their aptitude for hospitality, service orientation, reasoning, numerical ability, and communication skills. The exam ensures that only the most capable and passionate individuals enter the dynamic and customer-centric world of hospitality and hotel management.

The NCHMCT JEE Exam 2025 was conducted by the National Testing Agency on April 27, 2025, for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration), postgraduate diplomas, and various certificate programs offered by IHMs. The application process ran from December 16, 2024, to March 15, 2025, with a correction window being opened from March 17 to 20. The application fee for it was INR 1000 for General/OBC, INR 700 for General-EWS, and INR 450 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates, and the payment can be made through different online modes.

The exam was conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode with 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) across five different sections: English Language (60 questions), Aptitude for Service Sector (50), Numerical Ability & Analytical Aptitude (30), Reasoning & Logical Deduction (30), and General Knowledge & Current Affairs (30). The candidates were given +4 marks for each correct answer, -1 for each incorrect answer, and 0 for unattempted questions. The result of the exam was declared on May 18, 2025.

The NCHMCT JEE exam eligibility comprises a combination of different sections like nationality, educational qualification, age limit, and a medical certificate. The detailed eligibility is mentioned below and candidates can look into it to get a more clear idea of the eligibility criteria. 

Nationality

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the NCHMCT JEE exam.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates who have successfully passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board are eligible.

  • English must be a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying exam.

  • Students who are in their 12th class in 2025 are also eligible on a provisional basis, but they must submit proof of passing by September 30, 2025.

Age Limit

  • As per the New Education Policy, there is no age restriction for candidates applying to NCHMCT JEE 20252.

  • Candidates of any age who meet the academic and physical fitness criteria can apply.

Physical Fitness Requirement

  • All selected candidates will be required to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner at the time of admission

NCHMCT JEE Exam 2025 Application Form

The NCHMCT JEE application form was released on December 16, 2024, for all the candidates who were looking to take admission in one of the courses offered by IHMs. The registration process ended on March 15, 2025, after which the candidates were given a chance to make any modifications in the application form by opening a correction window on March 17, 2025. It was open till March 20, 2025, after which no modifications were permitted by the NTA. The exam for it was conducted on April 27, 2025, after which the counselling process was started.

The NCHMCT JEE entrance exam pattern consists of 5 sections, with sections like English and service sector aptitude having the maximum weightage. The exam consists of a total of 200 questions, amounting to a total of 800 marks. The candidate who gives the correct answer will be given 4 marks, and the incorrect answer by the candidate will lead to a deduction of 1 mark. There is no penalty for unattempted questions.

NCHMCT JEE Exam 2025 Admit Card

The NCHMCT JEE admit card was released by the National Testing Agency on April 23, 2025 a few days before the exam on April 27, 2025. The admit card details about the exam centre, like its address, centre code, examination timing, and exam shift. It also has some important candidate details like their name, photograph, date of birth, and candidate registration number. The admit card is very crucial for the candidate as it is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination centre because without it, the candidate will not be permitted. Candidates are advised to download the admit card in advance to avoid any last-minute issues. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the NCHMCT JEE 2025 answer key, and it contains the correct responses to all the questions that were in the entrance exam, which was held on April 27, 2025. The provisional answer key of the exam was published on May 7, 2025, allowing candidates to challenge any discrepancies in the answer key until May 10 by paying a nominal fee of INR 200 per question. After reviewing all the objections, the final answer key was released on May 16, 2025, which acted as the basis for creating the final result. It was declared on May 18, 2025. Candidates were able to access the answer key and their response sheets by logging into the official candidate portal of NTA. It helps the candidate in assessing their score before the official declaration of the result.

NCHMCT JEE 2025 Result

The NCHMCT JEE result was declared on May 18, 2025 few days after the exam was conducted on April 27, 2025. The result consists of the section-wise marks of the candidates, their overall marks, their qualifying status, and their all-India rank. Results are very important for the candidates, as after their declaration, they will be able to participate in the counselling process. In the counselling process, they will have to upload or mention their result, and the final merit list and seat allotment will be done on its basis. 

The NCHMCT JEE cutoff is released to give an idea to the candidate about their qualification status in the exam. Based on the cutoff marks, the opening and closing ranks are decided by each participating institute.
