The KCET entrance exam is a state-level entrance exam organized by KEA for admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses in Karnataka. The application form for the 2025-26 session had already been released and was closed on 24 February 2025.

The KCET 2025 exam was conducted in offline mode on 16 April and 17 April 2025, for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, while the Kannada language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates was held on 15 April 2025. Candidates had visited the official website for the submission of the forms. The application fee was INR 500 for General/OBC and INR 250 for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates. The results were declared on 24 May 2025, and qualified candidates can participate in online counseling for seat allotment from 4 July 2025.

Before applying for the application form, candidates need to check their eligibility criteria:

  • Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 2nd PUC/12th or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics as one of the optional subjects, and English as a language subject.

  • Minimum Marks: General category students must secure at least 45% aggregate in the qualifying subjects, while SC/ST/OBC candidates from Karnataka require a minimum of 40%.

  • Age Limit: No upper age limit for engineering courses; candidates must be at least 17 years old for some professional courses.

  • Special Criteria: Non-Karnataka candidates are not eligible for government seats. For medical/dental courses, NEET qualification is required; for architecture, NATA/JEE Main Paper 2 is required.

The KCET 2025 application form was released online on 23 January 2025, at the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, with the last date to apply being 24 February and the fee payment deadline on 25 February. The process included registration, filling in personal and academic details, uploading scanned images of the candidate’s photo, signature, thumb impression, and parents’ signature in specified formats, and payment of the application fee online. The KCET exam fee was INR 500 for General/OBC and INR 250 for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates.

Applicants were advised to carefully review all entries before final submission, as no changes could be made after declaration. A correction window was provided for editing details before submission. Candidates also needed to print the completed application form for document verification during counseling. The application was open to eligible candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses in Karnataka.

KCET 2025 Exam Admit Card

The KCET 2025 Admit Card was released by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on 06 April 2025 on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in.  Candidates who successfully completed the application process were able to download their admit cards by logging in with their application number and date of birth.

The admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam center and contains important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, reporting time, and exam center address. It also includes important instructions and guidelines for the exam day. Candidates are advised to verify all details on the admit card and keep multiple copies safe for future reference. Without the admit card, entry to the examination hall is strictly prohibited.

The KCET 2025 answer key was made available by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on 18 April 2025 through its official website kea.kar.nic.in. The provisional key helped candidates check their responses and estimate their scores ahead of the final result.

Candidates were allowed to submit objections to any discrepancies in the provisional answer key until 22 April 2025, by providing supporting documents and paying a small fee per question. After evaluating all submissions, KEA released the final answer key along with the exam results on 25 April 2025.

KCET 2025 Exam Results 

The KCET exam date 2025 was conducted from 16 April - 17 April, and its results were officially declared on 24 May 2025 by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
