Whatβs Next after the JEE Advanced Results?
After the JEE Advanced results, the next step is to join the JoSAA counselling process. This is where seats are allocated for IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government-funded colleges. The aspirant has to register on the JoSAA website, choose preferred colleges and branches and wait for the seat allotment results in each round.
If the candidate gets a seat in an IIT, it is based on their All India Rank (AIR) and category rank. Once a seat is allotted, the student must confirm it online, pay the required fees and complete the document verification process at the institute.
If no seat is allotted through JoSAA, the student can try CSAB counselling, which is another option for admission to technical institutes. If none of this work, candidates can still explore other possibilities such as applying to private colleges, taking a drop year to prepare again, or looking for career paths in science and technology.
