Dayananda Sagar Admission Test 2025 is a university entrance examination organized by Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore. The test is also popularly referred to as DSAT and acts as the portal to admission into different undergraduate and postgraduate courses like, BBA, BCA, B.Pharm, MBA, M.Tech, and others in streams like engineering, management, pharmacy, and biological sciences. At Present, DSAT is not being conducted for B.Tech Programs. 

The DSAT 2025 application process began on 16 November 2024, and the exam is scheduled to be held in three phases: Phase I in the fourth week of February 2025 on 26th February 2025*, Phase II on 5th April 2025*, and Phase III on 7th May 2025*.

Candidates applying for undergraduate courses must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board with the required subject combinations and minimum marks as specified by the university. For postgraduate programs, a relevant bachelor’s degree is mandatory. 

The exam is conducted in both online and offline modes, and the question paper consists of 75 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 120 minutes, with no negative marking.

If any candidate is thinking about taking the DSAT in 2025 to get into Dayananda Sagar University, it is important to know who can apply. The eligibility criteria for the DSAT 2025 is designed to ensure that candidates has the necessary academic background for their chosen programs. These requirements vary slightly depending on the course applied for, but the general standards are given below

  • Candidate must have completed or be appearing for the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.

  • For B.Tech programs, candidate must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • For B.Pharm and other life sciences programs, candidate must have studied Biology in 10+2.

  • For MBA programs, candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

  • Candidates from any educational board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards) are eligible to apply.

  • There is no upper age limit specified for appearing in DSAT 2025.

  • Candidate must meet the minimum academic percentage required by the university for the selected course.

  • Final year students awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of proof during admission.

The DSAT 2025 application form was also made available online via the Dayananda Sagar University website. Applicants who wanted to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate courses like B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, and M.Tech were eligible to register from November 16, 2024, onwards.

To submit, students must register on the DSU portal, provide personal and academic information, choose their desired exam phase and center, scan and upload a passport-sized photo and signature in the format prescribed, and remit the application fee.

The form can be submitted both online and offline, but applicants must ensure all details are accurate to avoid rejection. The last date to apply was 31 March 2025. Admit cards wer released one week before each exam phase. The DSAT exam was conducted in three phases: February, April, and May 2025. Successful candidates will be eligible for admission based on their scores and subsequent counseling rounds

DSAT Exam 2025 Admit Card

The DSAT 2025 admit card were released online by Dayananda Sagar University on its official website dsu.edu.in. Candidates who had successfully registered for the Dayananda Sagar Admission Test can download their hall ticket by logging in with their application number and password. 

The admit card is a mandatory document that includes essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date and time, reporting time, exam center address, and important instructions for the test day. 

Students must verify all details on the admit card and report any discrepancies to the university before the exam. It is advised to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam center. Without these, entry will not be permitted.  

DSAT Exam 2025 Answer Key

The DSAT Exam 2025 answer key was released by Dayananda Sagar University shortly after each exam phase concludes. It was made available on the official website dsu.edu.in in PDF format. 

The provisional answer key had accurate answers to all the questions posed in the exam so that candidates could compare their answers and gauge their marks. As there is no negative marking in DSAT, the candidates can just tally their correct answers to arrive at an estimated score. The university can also provide scope for candidates to file 

DSAT Exam 2025 Result 

DSAT Exam 2025 result was announced online by DSU on 31st May 2025, provisionally after the end of every exam session. Candidates appearing for the test can find out their result by logging in using the application number and password.

The outcome contained significant information like the name of the candidate, roll number, subject-wise marks, total marks, and overall rank. DSU declared Phase I results in the first week of March 2025, subsequent phases in April and May.

Eligible candidates from the exam could take part in the counselling procedure, which was set to start in June 2025. Candidates are also requested to download and print out the scorecard for future use in admission. The result is very important and is used to allocate seats on various undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses of the university.

Dayananda Sagar University does declare a cutoff for the DSAT Exam. The DSAT 2025 cutoff is the minimum score that the candidates need to achieve in order to be eligible for admission into different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The cutoff is course-specific and category-specific like General, OBC, SC, ST and depends upon factors like the number of candidates, level of difficulty of the exam, and number of seats available.

Although the university never makes a fixed cutoff list available, the qualifying scores are intimated to the candidates at the time of counselling, which started in June 2025. Candidates whose scores were equal to or more than the cutoff were eligible for seat allotment in their desired courses. 

DSAT 2025 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

DSAT is a home proctored test, conducted to evaluate candidates with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The test is conducted in online and offline modes, of 2 hours duration. Familiarity with the pattern of the exam enables candidates to study strategically and make the best use of time during the test. For B.Tech candidates, the DSAT 2025 exam consists of four major sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and General Aptitude. All sections have equal importance except for Aptitude, which is less in number.

The DSAT 2025 counselling and seat allotment process began in the first week of June 2025 after the declaration of results for all exam phases. Conducted by Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), this process was essential for admission into various UG and PG programs such as B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharm, B.A. LLB, and MBA.
