The BITS Higher Degree entrance exam, conducted by BITS Pilani, is important for students seeking admission to different postgraduate programs offered by the institute. Admissions to BITS Higher Degree programs are also provided through valid GPAT/GATE scores along with the BITS HD test. The institute has four campuses in total, but the entrance exam is conducted only for the Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses.

The application forms for the exam were available from 15 February 2025 to 19 April 2025 on the official portal of the institute. The application correction window was open from 21 to 22 April 2025. The BITS HD exam was held online on 26 May 2025 and 1 June 2025 at various locations across the country. The admit cards were released from 20 May 2025 onwards on the official website.

The final reporting date for admitted students was 29 July 2025, and regular classes commenced from 2 August 2025.

Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website, www.bitsadmission.com, to download the result. 

Step 2: Now, look for the BITS HD result link/tab and click on it.

Step 3: After this, the applicants need to enter their application number, date of birth, and gender to log in to the portal.

Step 4: Once logged in, the result will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Students must download the scorecard and print it for the counselling process.

The counselling process begins for the students qualifying the BITS-HD cut-off, including students with a valid GPAT/GATE score. Candidates must register themselves at the official portal, fill in their preferred courses along with the campus they wish to attend and upload all the required documents, keeping in mind the given specifications.

The seat allotment of the candidates is based on the score of the BITS-HD exam or their GPAT/GATE score, availability of seats in the chosen campus and popularity of the preferred course.
