BHU PET 2025 Exam: The BHU PET 2025 is now a part of the CUET PG, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency once a year for various postgraduate and undergraduate courses at various universities throughout the country. The BHU PET, as a part of the CUET, took place between May 13, 2025, and June 03, 2025. The registration for the CUET PG began from January 02, 2025, till February 08, 2025.  The CUET application correction window was between February 10, 2025, to February 12, 2025. The CUET PG admit cards were released on March 08, 2025. The provisional answer key for the CUET PG was released on April 22, 2025, on the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG. The results were declared on May 06, 2025.  

After the declaration of the results, the Banaras Hindu University began the admission counselling for its postgraduate courses through its official website on May 22nd, 2025, and the last date for the admission process was June 10, 2025, but was later extended to June 15, 2025. The correction window for the BHU PG admission form was open between 16th to 18th June 2025. After the registration, the BHU released the first round of allocation of seats on July 14, 2025, which the students could view through their Samarth Dashboard. The students allocated the seats in the first round had to complete their admission process by paying the required admission fee by July 16, 2025. 

For being eligible for the BHU postgraduate admissions, the candidates must have cleared the CUET-PG and must hold a 50% aggregate in their Bachelor's degree, provided by a recognized institution.

The CUET PG application fee was INR 1,400 for the general category, INR 1,200 for Gen-EWS/ OBC-NCL, INR 1100 for SC / ST / Third Gender, and INR 1,000 for PWD. Additionally, after clearing the CUET those eligible will have to register for the Banaras Hindu University admission process by paying a fee of INR 300 for the UR/OBC-NCL/EWS categories and INR 150 for SC/ST/PwBD categories.

BHU PET2025 Eligibility Criteria 

The BHU PET 2025 is now a part of the CUET PG, so any candidate appearing for the BHU PET has to match the eligibility criteria of CUET PG, which are as follows:

  • The candidate must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree from any of the recognised universities.

  • General Candidates must have scored at least 50% in their bachelor’s, while the reserved category candidates must hold at least 45%. 

  • There is no age capping for candidates appearing for the CUET PG. 

  • The candidates appearing for the CUET PG must be Indian citizens. However, certain foreigners who are residing in India are also eligible. 

  • Certain courses may have specific preconditioned requirements as per the guidelines of the participating universities. 

  • It is to be noted that the participating universities may also have additional eligibility criteria for the admission process.

The BHU PET 2025 application forms are filled out once the candidate clears the CUET PG exam. The Banaras Hindu University accepts CUET as the first stage of its admission process. The BHU PET 2025 application forms for admission and counselling were released by the examination authorities on their official website starting from May 22 till June 10, 2025, initially, but the closing date was extended till June 15, 2025. The registration for the admission process started after the CUET result declaration. The candidates seeking admission had to fill out the BHU PET 2025 application form through the official website at bhucuetpg.samarth.edu.in. The candidates registered using the CUET application number, personal information, and educational qualifications. Then the applicants had to upload a scanned copy of their 10th and 12th class certificates, a passport-size photograph, and a signature. Finally, the applicants completed their application by paying a registration fee of INR 300 for general candidates and INR 150 for reserved candidates. 

BHU PET 2025 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The Banaras Hindu University offers a total of 30 courses, and every paper is conducted through CUET PG. The paper consists of 75 multiple-choice questions to be answered within a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The correct answers are awarded with +4 marks, the incorrect answers are given -1 marks, and unanswered questions are given 0 marks.

BHU PET 2025 Admit Card 

The BHU PET 2025 Admit Card was released on the official NTA website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG on  March 8, 2025. The admit card was the hall ticket to the examination center, and the candidates were required to present the admit card along with an identification card on the day of the examination. The candidates could access the admit cards through the official NTA website. The candidates had to provide their CUET PG application number, Date of Birth, and the Captcha provided. The students were also required to take a printout of the admit card for presentation on the day of the examination. One could also make corrections in the admit cards issued in cases of any discrepancies found by reaching out to the NTA helpline numbers.

The CUET BHU PET 2025 provisional answer key was released on the NTA official website on April 22, 2025. The test takers could raise objections to the provisional answer key within the window of April 22 to April 24, 2025. The final answer key was released on May 6, 2025. The candidate could raise objections to the provisional answer key by logging in to the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG and navigating the “Answer Key” section on the Homepage tab. The students had to provide the application number and date of birth, and the captcha details for the verification. After providing all the details, the students were able to access their answer key. The candidates can also object to the provisional answer in case of any inconsistencies with the provisional answer key by paying a fee of INR 200 per question. 

BHU PET 2025 Result

The BHU PET 2025 result is that of the CUET PG result. As of now, the BHU PET is conducted as CUET PG. The CUET PG 2025 results were released by the National Testing Agency on May 06, 2025, on its official website. The students could access their results by visiting the NTA website and going to the CUET PG result section, and filling in the required details for logging into the student’s dashboard. After providing all the details, the students were able to download their results for the CUET PG 2025.

The BHU PET first round of seats were allotted after the CUET PG was released by the NTA on May 6, 2025. The candidates seeking admission applied through the bhucuetpg.samarth.edu.in and were allotted the seats on July 14, 2025, as per the cut-offs released. After securing the seat, the students had to complete their admission by paying the admission fee of the university by July 16, 2025.

The BHU PET aspirant can follow the various preparation tips mentioned below to ensure a successful admission.

  • The students should be well versed with the examination pattern and marking scheme for the entrance to the program they will be appearing for.

  • Candidates should go through the syllabus carefully and break down the vast syllabus topic-wise. 

  • Identify the areas required for extra improvement and work harder on gaining clarity over them. 

  • After the completion of the syllabus, practice the CUET PG Mock tests extensively to analyse the exam pattern and get an understanding of the exam pattern, and practice time management.

  • Prepare a thorough study timetable for developing a dedicated habit of self-studying.
