Vivekanand Education Society's Business School was established in 1962 by the Vivekanand Education Society. VESBS is located in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra. This institute is an AACSB member, and its PGDM courses are approved by AICTE, accredited by NBA, and recognised by AIU. The school has been ranked 3rd in Mumbai for placement as per the Mid-Day B-School Survey 2025. As per the IIRF B-School Ranking 2025, the institute is ranked 13th among B-Schools in Maharashtra. VBS offers Fellowship and PGDM courses under the Department of Management. The campus of VBS is spread over 5 acres of land situated in the centre of Mumbai. The students who are in the last year of their bachelor’s degree can also apply, but their admission will be provisional unless they qualify their examination with a minimum of 50% of marks. The application form for XAT is open, with the registration date starting on 10 July 2025 and the last date to register is on 5 December 2025. The entrance exam for XAT will take place on 4 January 2026.

Vivekanand Education Society's Business School Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
There are two main programs that are offered by Vivekanand Education Society’s Business School: PGDM and FPM. Eligibility criteria for both programs vary and require a graduation and a post-graduation degree. For the PGDM program, students must have completed their bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks, along with the academic qualification, national-level entrance exam, such as CAT, XAT, MAT, MAH-CET, CMAT, GMAT, ATMA, are acceptable .
After ensuring the criteria, students will have to submit the application form with the score card of the management entrance exam they appeared in, along with the required documents. The students who are shortlisted will then be invited for a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview.
Minimum cutoff marks vary in different management exams; 75th percentile is required in CAT and CMAT, 70th percentile is required in XAT, in MAT, ATMA, and 85th percentile is required in MAHCET. The weightage for different parameters is distributed differently, like 40% of the weightage is given to the qualifying entrance exam, 25% is given to the academic score of students in their 10th, 12th and graduation marks. 30% of the weightage is for personal interviews, and 5% weightage is given to extracurricular activities like awards in sports, work experience or competitions won at the college level.
The eligibility criteria for pursuing the Fellowship Program in Management (FPM) are the completion of a master’s degree or equivalent in engineering and technology, humanities, management, social science, economics, biological science, pure science, commerce with a first division. The students who are appearing for the final year of their graduation degree can also apply to the programs, but their admission will be provisional unless they submit their marksheet proving that they have scored the required marks.
The students would also need to submit a 5000-word abstract for the research they want to conduct, and if shortlisted, would have to give a presentation in front of the selection committee, which will be followed by a personal interview.
The placement cell of Vivekanand Education Society’s Business School not only provides its students with career opportunities but also trains them with practical skills to help them prepare for jobs. The placement cell organises various workshops, internships, leadership talks, live projects and corporate case competitions, and also provides their students with CV review, interview & GD preparations, mentorship, and industry & role information sessions.
