Vishwakarma University (VU) is located in Pune Maharashtra. It is part of the Vishwakarma Group of Institutions, which has more than 38 years of educational experience. The university was established in 2017 as a State Private University through the Maharashtra Government Act. It is approved by the UGC, which allows it to design its own courses, conduct exams and award degrees.

It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). In the 2021 Times Higher Education Global Impact Rankings, Vishwakarma University Pune was ranked among the top institutions out of 1,200 from 98 countries. Vishwakarma University Admission Overview 2026

The university provides several programs at different levels for 2026. Admissions for UG and PG programs are open now, and PhD admissions will start on 1 February 2026. Students can apply either online or offline. To get admission, students must meet the eligibility rules and pay the required fees. Selection is based on school marks and entrance exams, which vary for each program. Some of the entrance exams are MHCET, CUET, CAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, NATA and VUNET.

The VUNET (Vishwakarma University National Entrance Test) exam is required for several courses, such as B.Des, M.Des, BFT, B.Tech, BBA, MBA, MCA, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, LLB and LLM. Eligible candidates are advised to apply before the last date of admission and pay the admission fee.

Vishwakarma University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026

Applicants who have completed Class 12, graduation or post-graduation and wish to continue their studies as per their academic background are advised to check the requirements and apply for admission.

UG Admission  - Candidates who want to apply for UG courses must have a Class 12 marksheet with required marks, subjects and the entrance exam score. The required marks for bachelor's programs is 45% to 50% according to the subject. Reserved category candidates get a 5% relaxation in certain programs.

PG Admission - For admission to a master’s degree, candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree with marks ranging from 45% to 55%, as per the chosen course. Some programs offer a 5% relaxation to students from reserved categories. Applicants also need to qualify for the required entrance exam.

Vishwakarma University Scholarships 

Vishwakarma University Pune provides scholarships to help students reduce their education fees. These scholarships are available for wards of defence personnel, serving or retired defence staff, close relatives of current students or alumni, and ex-students of the Vishwakarma Group. Students must submit the required documents to apply for the scholarship. Eligible students get a 10% reduction on the total annual tuition fee, which helps make education more affordable.

The university also introduced a special scholarship scheme for students from Vietnam who wish to study in India. According to this scheme, eligible Vietnamese nationals can get a 100% tuition fee waiver for selected undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The main aim of this scholarship is to support talented students and help them continue their higher education without any burden.
