Venkateshwara Open University Overview
Venkateshwara Open University (VOU) is a state university at Naharlagun, adjacent to Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, in India. The Government of Arunachal Pradesh put in place the Venkateshwara Open University Act No. 10 of 2012, and ever since it has been ranked among the top universities in India. VOU is a University Grants Commission (UGC)-approved part of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). VOU has already offered 1400+ placements, 15 total streams, and 150 courses.
VOU has undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), diploma, doctoral, postgraduate diploma, and certificate courses in specialisations, including management, education, sciences, computer and information sciences, design and social sciences, fine arts, and other streams. The university has received the Global Education Skill Summit at the Indian International Centre 2017.
In November 2024, plenty of 2025 placements were accomplished with the top recruiters, including Federal Bank, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank. In one academic session, more than 1400 students were placed in the design, arts and management disciplines, a March 2025 announcement claimed.
Venkateshwara Open University provides an e-learning platform consisting of an e-library comprising e-books, study aids and internet resources. This is supplemented with a tablet PC to enhance the digital learning process, live interactive classes to engage students and an online Learning Management System (LMS) to administer the course.

Venkateshwara Open University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
Students must complete their 12th class with minimum marks of 55% from the recognised board.
For PG programmes, students must have a bachelor's degree in relevant subjects from a recognised university with at least 50% marks.
Courses like MBA & MTech admission are based on merit.
Diploma and certificate programmes require students to pass 10th class or 12th class from a reputed board.
