Techno India University is a private university located in Tripura, established under the Tripura Act of 2023 & UGC Act of 1956. The university is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Bar Council of India. The curriculum of TIU is designed as per the NEP 2020.
The courses of TIU are offered under various schools, such as the School of Engineering & Architecture, the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, the School of Natural Sciences, the School of Agriculture, the School of Fisheries, the School of Law, the School of Health Science & Translation Research and the Diploma in Agriculture Science & Natural Sciences.

Techno India University Admission Overview
Techno India University Courses Admissions are open for various courses. The University provides courses in different departments like engineering & architecture, commerce, management & economics, agriculture, law, fisheries, and health science & translation centre. The degrees are offered in TIUT at undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and diploma programs.
The eligibility criteria for admission to these courses will differ from one another. For undergraduate courses, students need to complete their 12th class from a recognised board like CBSE/ICSE/ State board or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
For pursuing a postgraduate program, the students would need to have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from an accredited university. The students would need to appear for the entrance test of TUIT for admission to a PhD. The entrance exam TIUTRET was held on 16 June 2025, and the last date to fill the applications was 11 June 2025.
The cost for pursuing these courses will vary from the specialisation and the level of the degree, but the approximate fee range is between INR 45,000 - INR 8,00,000.

Techno India University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
The eligibility criteria vary based on the various courses. Admissions are done on the basis of merit and entrance exams. For Courses like MBA, which require entrance exams like CAT/MAT/GMAT, etc. The last date to apply for the CAT exam was 20 September 2025, and the entrance exam will be conducted on 30 November 2025.
The students who need to pursue a bachelor's degree from TUIT should complete their Class 12 with 50% marks from a relevant stream according to the degree they are applying to.
For pursuing a postgraduate degree, the students must have a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation degree from a recognised university. The students who are interested in applying to the doctoral program would get admission after qualifying entrance exam TIUTRET. The diploma courses provided in TIUT are for agriculture science and natural sciences. The duration of the courses is 1 year.
Techno India University Placement 2025
Employability, Placement & Career Advancement Cell(EPCAC) provides its students with networking opportunities and has international tie-ups for placement and internship support. It also provides its students with international exchange programs. There is also the option of earning while you learn in the entrepreneurship programs. The EPCAC also organises pre-placement activities and invites industry experts and alumni to give talks. It also works as a networking opportunity for students. It gives them an idea of the role and responsibilities, and recognises the gaps in their preparation and works accordingly.
Techno India University Scholarships 2025
There are various scholarships available under TUIT based on different criteria like merit, sports, performing arts, need-based, alumni, and central & state scholarships. Under the swami vivekananda merit scholarship, every student who has scored above 90% in their Class 12th will get 100% waiver on the tuition fee for their undergraduate studies. Accordingly, the lower the marks, the lower the waiver.
The next scholarship is the dhyan chand scholarship scheme for extraordinary contribution in sports. Students who are international players will get 100% off their tuition fee for pursuing a diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Students who have played nationally and won medals like gold, silver or bronze will get 50% off their tuition fee. Students who have played state level will get 25% off their tuition fee.
The students getting a scholarship under this scheme will have to sign an affidavit stating that they will participate and represent only the TUIT.
There is another scholarship called the Sachin Deb Barman Scholarship for performing arts (singing, dancing, drama) & visual arts. Students who have performed in international-level competitions will get 100% off on tuition fees, students who have performed at state level will get 50% off on tuition fees, and students who have performed at district level will get 25% off on tuition fees.
The students applying for this scholarship would have to have a recommendation letter and a 1-minute video from the mentoring institute or academy or guru, or private tutors. They would also have to submit the documentary proof of their awards or prizes, or certificates they received. In addition to that, they would also need to submit at least 2 references from someone who is associated with them in the same co-curricular activity.
