SVNIT Admission Important Dates

For B.Tech, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a technical vocational subject. Candidates must also have qualified in the JEE Main, followed by JoSAA counselling. Admission is granted based on JEE Main ranks and JoSAA seat allocation.

For M.Tech, applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for Research M.Tech). Candidates must also have a valid GATE score. 

For MBA, candidates must hold a full-time Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with at least 60% marks. Selection is based on the CAT, GMAT, GRE, XAT, CMAT, or MAT score. Candidates who do not have a score in these exams may appear for the institute's test. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test, group discussion, and personal interview as part of the final selection process.

For PhD candidates, a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 60% is required. Additionally, candidates should have qualified for GATE/NET at least once during their academic career, depending on the department. Admission is granted based on performance in a written test and a personal interview conducted by the respective departments.

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology offers Undergraduate programs such as B.Tech in various Engineering disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, and Chemical Engineering for the academic year 2025-26. 

JoSAA has released the first round of seat allocation for SVNIT's B.Tech program in the first week of June 2025. Registration for JoSAA 2025 has also started in first week of June as well. Admission to B.Tech programs is done through JEE Main rank, which is mandatory for all candidates.

SVNIT BTech Admission 2025

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, offers B.Tech program in disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, ECE, and CSE. For the 2025–26 academic session, admissions are conducted through JoSAA counselling, based on JEE Main 2025 scores. The tuition fee for the BTech program is INR 5,00,000. For admission, applicants must have passed 10+2 with PCM subjects. 

SVNIT offers various postgraduate programs like M.Tech, MBA, and MSc (Research) for the academic session 2025-26. Admission to M.Tech is based on GATE scores, while MBA admissions are done through CAT/CMAT/XAT or institute-level entrance tests. Admission to PG programs is open now, and the last date to apply online is July 2025 (Tentative).  The total tuition fee of PG programs ranges between INR 1,40,000 to INR 3,12,000, depending on the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

• M.Tech: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with a valid GATE score.

• MBA: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a valid CAT/CMAT/XAT score.

SVNIT MBA Admission 2025

SVNIT offers an MBA program with specialisations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Operations. Admission to the MBA program is open, and the last date to fill out the application form is July 2025 (Tentative). Admission is based on CAT/CMAT/XAT score, followed by group discussions and personal interviews conducted by SVNIT. At the time of admission, students are advised to pay INR 1000 as an application fee. The total tuition fee for the MBA program is INR 2,10,000. 

Eligibility:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised university and a valid CAT/CMAT/XAT score.

SVNIT PhD Admission 2025

SVNIT offers PhD programs in Engineering, Science, Management, and Humanities. Selection is based on a written test and interview conducted by the institute. Admission to the PhD program for Phase 3 is open now, and the last date for registration is 3 July 2025. 

To become eligible for admission, applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 60% marks. GATE/NET scores are preferred for certain fields. The annual tuition fee for the PhD program is INR 15,000.
