SRM Institute of Science and Technology, also known as SRMIST, Ramapuram campus in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a premier institute which was founded in 2004. SRM IST Ramapuram Campus Admission 2025
SRM IST Ramapuram Campus has officially opened admissions for the 2025 academic year across its wide spectrum of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programs.
The admission process is a blend of merit-based and entrance exam-based selection, depending on the course. The admission process is ongoing for the UG, PG and Doctoral programs, and the last date for the admission is July 2025 (Tentative).
For UG programs admission, like B.Tech, students need to appear in the SRMJEEE UG entrance exam, which is conducted in three phases: April, June, and July, with online mode allowing students to take the test from home. B.Arch students must qualify for the NATA, IIT JEE Mains paper II entrance test, and B.Des program admissions are based on merit and academic performance.
For the PG program, such as MBA, candidates can apply via SRMJEEM PG or national-level exams like CAT, MAT, TANCET, XAT or CMAT entrance exam, while M.Arch architecture hopefuls must qualify through the PGETA entrance exam. SRMJEEE (PG) entrance exam is required for admission into M.Tech program.
The eligibility criteria vary by program, but generally require a minimum of 60% aggregate in relevant subjects for UG courses and a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks for PG programs. The application process is entirely online, and students must submit required documents and fees before the deadlines.
The PhD course(full-time and part-time) is also available in SRMIST Ramapur Campus, and candidates who want to pursue a PhD must appear in the UGC NET/CSIR, GATE, CEED entrance test and must have a master's degree with at least 55% marks.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram campus, has a comprehensive eligibility criterion for its 2025 admissions across Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programs.
For B.Tech, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 60% in Physics and Mathematics, along with one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Computer Science. Those applying for B.Arch must have 60% in PCM and a valid score in SRMJEEE UG, NATA or JEE Main Paper II. The B.Des program requires students to pass Class 12 with a minimum of 60% in any stream.
For M.Tech, applicants should hold a B.E./B.Tech or Bachelors degree in a relevant field with at least 50% aggregate, and admission is based on SRMJEEE (PG), GATE scores. The MBA program demands a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and a valid score in SRMJEEM, CAT, MAT, XAT, followed by a personal interview.
For MCA, a bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject and 50% marks is required. M.Arch applicants must have a B.Arch degree and qualify through PGETA or departmental entrance tests. PhD aspirants who need a master’s or M.Phil degree must clear a written test and interview, unless exempted via national-level exams like NET, CEED or GATE.
