The Sri Saraswathi Thyagaraja College (STC) has a structured placement process by means of the Career Training, Placement and Corporate Relations (CTPCR) cell. It starts at an early stage, and the introduction of training programs starts during the first year of UG and PG courses. These sessions aim at improving communication skills, numeracy skills and general employability.
CTPCR comes out strongly to partner with industries and corporate partners to conduct campus recruitment drives and job fairs. These activities directly expose students to job availability as well as give them an idea of what is expected in the industry. They also offer internships to provide exposure and develop skills.
Students are constantly guided with the help of mock interviews, resume-building workshops, and aptitude tests. They are led in the placement journey by faculty members and industry experts. The success of the college in high-ranking organisations with alumni and the high placement rate of the college indicate the success of this process.
