Sister Nivedita University admission 2026 is mainly based on entrance exams. Most students have to appear for the SNUET exam. For some courses, the university also accepts national exam scores like JEE, WBJEE, CUET, CLAT, CAT, MAT, GATE or UGC-NET. Sister Nivedita University course admissions are open for UG, PG and PhD programs for various streams like Engineering, Law, Science and Arts.
The Sister Nivedita University School of Nursing offers BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing and General Nursing and Midwifery. All these courses are offered with a total duration of 2 to 4 years. Completion of Class 12 in PCB with at least 50% is required for admission to the B.Sc Nursing.

Sister Nivedita University in Kolkata provides a range of full-time programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate levels. Each program has specific eligibility criteria based on the applicant’s academic background. Most students are required to appear for the SNUET entrance exam and secure a minimum score of 45% to qualify. However, candidates with valid scores in exams such as JEE, WBJEE, CUET, CLAT, CAT, MAT, GATE or UGC-NET can also apply. They don't need to qualify for the SNUET exam.
Candidates who are eager to take admission in UG courses need to pass class 12 with 50% to 60% marks.
Students who want to apply for BSc, B.Tech, B.Pharm, and other science-based programs must have a science stream in their class 12.
Applicants who want to get admission in arts, commerce, performing arts, and some management must have passed class 12 in any stream.
Law courses follow BCI norms for eligibility.
PG courses require a relevant bachelor’s degree with 50% to 60% marks.
Some PG courses, like MBA, also need entrance exam scores (CAT/GMAT/MAT/JEMAT).
Certificate courses require completion of Class 10 from a recognised board.

The scholarship for the first year is only for Class XII students appearing in 2025 or 2026. Students from Open boards or International boards are not eligible for this scholarship.
3. SNU Talent Scholarship - Students good in sports, arts, or music can get this scholarship. They must have competed at the state, national, or international level. Eligible students can get full tuition fee support. The amount can be increased for top performers.
The university also provides government scholarships such as the Scholarship Scheme by the Ministry of Railways, the Scholarship Scheme by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Scholarship Scheme by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, etc.
