Sigma University Vadodara is one of the best universities in Gujarat. The University is located on Ajwa-Nimeta Road, Waghodia, Vadodara, Gujarat. The university was established in 2002, and is recognised and approved by the UGC, AICTE, Pharmacy Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Gujarat Nursing Council, Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Industries Commissionerate-Gujarat, Gujarat Knowledge Society, and Bar Council of India.
Sigma University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Doctoral programmes in various fields, including Commerce, Engineering, Computer Application, Pharmacy, Management, and Science. The campus is spread over 26.7 Lakh square feet, and is equipped with more than 150 classrooms with above 1500 computer systems.
Sigma University is affiliated with Gujarat Technical University (GTU) and Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU). The university has around 17 departments and offers more than 27 courses. Sigma University Admission Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria are the benchmarks for the candidates to get admission to their desired courses. The eligibility is as follows.
For admission to the UG courses, candidates must pass the 12th class with a minimum of 45%-50% marks in their respective courses. Some courses required an entrance score card, such as JEE Main, NID/NIFT and the state exam (GUJCET).
To get admission to PG programmes, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in the respective course with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
The eligibility for PhD programmes is that candidates should have a master’s degree in the respective course with aggregate marks. The personal interview is also required.
Students must pass classes 10th and 12th to be eligible for admission to the Diploma programmes.
Sigma University Placement
The Sigma University has a full-time placement cell which conducts life-skills training along with mock interviews and group discussions with industry tie-ups. Over 250 recruiters participate in the campus placement drive, offering opportunities in diverse fields including IT, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Retail.
Recent placement drives recorded the highest salary package as INR 20 LPA, whereas the data for the average salary package is not available on the website. The university has also reported that more than 1100 students were placed with 1300+ job offers in one of its recent drives.
