Satya Institute of Technology and Management (SITAM), Vizianagaram, offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and management. For, four-year B.Tech degree, a candidate must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. All applicants seeking admission into the first year must qualify in the EAMCET examination conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Admissions will be granted strictly based on the merit obtained in the entrance examination, under the prevailing rules, including the reservation policies applicable to various categories. Candidates must also meet the local/non-local status requirements as prescribed under the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974, and its subsequent amendments.
Admissions under Category ‘B’, which accounts for 30% of the intake in each engineering branch, are conducted based on specific eligibility criteria. Candidates may be considered for admission either based on their rank in the EAMCET examination or by securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the group subjects—Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry—in the 10+2 qualifying examination. To be eligible for the BBA or BCA program, candidates must have completed both Class X and Class XII from a recognised board. A minimum aggregate score of 50% in Class 12 is required. The eligibility applies to candidates from all academic streams.
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech program must fulfil the following eligibility criteria. Candidates should have an AMIE, AMIETE, or any other qualification recognised by UPSC, as being on par with a B.E. or B.Tech. Candidates also need to have a valid GATE score. Sponsored candidates are also eligible for admission in addition to these requirements. However, the number of sponsored candidates shall not exceed two in each specialisation and not more than five in each department. These sponsored seats are considered supernumerary.
A certificate attesting to the candidate's authorisation to pursue the M.Tech program full-time must be provided by the sponsoring organisation. Candidates must also fulfil the requirements for local or non-local status outlined in the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974, and its later amendments. Candidates must have at least 50% in Class X and XII and a bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% to be admitted to the MBA and MCA programs. Candidates must have earned at least 50% in Class X and XII and a B.Tech degree in a related field to be eligible for an M.Tech. Every qualification needs to come from an accredited school.
For admission to MBA and MCA programs, candidates must have completed Class X and XII with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board. They must also hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks. Entrance exam scores like APICET may be considered for final selection in the MBA program.
