The candidates who want to get admission to RTC Institute of Technology (RTCIT) must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed for their selected programme. The institute offers admission to B.Tech, Diploma and BBA programmes through regular and lateral entry modes. For admission to the Regular B.Tech programme, candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Informatics Practices, or a Technical Vocational Subject. Applicants are required to have obtained at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination and 40% marks for the reserved category applicants. Those who have passed out three year diploma courses with not less than 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) shall also be considered for admission to the first year of B.Tech.
To get admission to the 2nd year of the B.Tech course for Lateral Entry, the student must have passed out of an ITI with a specialization in Computer Applications. candidates must have a minimum of three years' diploma or a two-year lateral entry diploma in any stream of Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for candidates of the reserved category). Students who have passed a B.tech with Mathematics at 10+2 level with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) from a UGC recognised university are also eligible for the Sc degree.
Admission to the Regular Entry Diploma programme students must pass in Class 10th (SSC) exam from a recognised board. To be eligible for Lateral Entry in 2nd year of Diploma programme, the candidate should have passed out the 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subjects, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies or Entrepreneurship.
If a candidate has passed the 10+2 exam from any board with any stream, they will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme.
