The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Patiala is one of the premier law universities in India, which was established in 2006. It is located in Punjab and was established by the state legislature of Punjab. The university was approved by BCI and got registered and recognised by UGC. RGNUL is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is the first national law university to be awarded an ‘A’ grade by the NAAC.
RGNUL is well-known for its academic excellence and offers various courses, such as B.A. LL.B (Hons.), LL.M, LL.D, PhD, and PGDIPA. Admission to these courses is based on CLAT score. The RGNUL introduced a student mentorship program, which is beneficial for the personal and professional growth of the students.

The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Patiala provides various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Doctoral courses with particular eligibility for the 2025 session.
For B.A. LL.B (Hons.), students must have passed Class 12th from the Punjab School Education Board or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates).
