Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University was established under the Uttarakhand Adhiniyam 2016. It operates under the aegis of the Mahayana-Theravada-Vajrayana Buddhist Religious and Charitable Trust, Meerut, established in 2011. The university is approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC), AICTE, and is accredited by NAAC and NBA.
RBBSU offers a wide range of courses at the UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate levels. This includes BBA, BCA, B.Com, MBA, MCA, etc. The courses are offered in different specialisations, such as Paramedical, Science, Arts, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Commerce, etc. Admissions are done either through entrance exams or based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Candidates who want to get admission into any of the Graduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, or Certificate programs., must meet the eligibility criteria. Here are the eligibility criteria for some of the courses:
For courses such as BMLT, BMIRT, BOPT, or BPT, candidates must have passed Class 12 with PCB by securing at least 50% marks. Whereas for the B.Pharm course, candidates need to have passed Class 12th with PCB/PCM.
Candidates who want to apply for the BFA course should have passed Class 12th in any stream from a recognised board.
For the MFA, candidates need to have completed their BFA or BA in a relevant stream, or they should have a one-year diploma in Painting with a minimum of 45% marks.
For the BMS course, students should have passed Class 12th with at least 45% marks (40% marks for the reserved category).
Students applying for the certificate course in Hospitality Operations should have passed Class 12th in any stream from a recognised board.
