The placement cell organises the placement process so that companies can attend the placement drive and hire students from the University. Below is a brief explanation of the placement process at this University:
The placement season at this University begins with students registering with the University’s training and placement cell. During registration, students provide academic details and career preferences to become eligible for recruitment.
The placement cell sends invites to new and recurring companies to become a part of the placement drive. It is up to the companies to accept or reject the invitation.
Once the companies accept the invitation, they inform the placement cell, and the University organises pre-placement talks. In this, the companies present insights into their company’s culture, job roles, and the selection process that students need to appear in order to get selected in a particular company.
After the pre-placement talks, students inform the placement cell if they are interested in taking part in any of the company’s placement processes. After that, they can take part in the selection process. These include a technical round, group discussion, a written exam, and a final HR round.
Based on the student’s performance in all the rounds of the selection process, companies will select the candidates whom they think will be fit for the role.
Along with the merit list, the companies will send the offer letters to the placement cell. The offer letters contain information such as job role or title, salary package, date of joining, office location, and more.
The placement cell also helps the students after they get the offer letter, and they guide students through the documentation and onboarding process.
