NIT Uttarakhand Overview
Established in 2009 under the Act of Parliament by the Ministry of Education, National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand is an Institute of National Importance located in Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarakhand. The institute is currently operating from a temporary campus and the permanent campus is being built at Sumari, Uttarakhand.
NIT Uttarakhand has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various institutions for research cooperation, joint projects and faculty/student exchange programs, including IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar and HNB Garhwal University.
The college has been ranked 131st in Engineering Category by NIRF. NIT Uttarakhand offers Undergraduate (BTech), Postgraduate (MTech), and Doctoral (Ph.D) programs in various engineering and science disciplines. Admissions to these programs are entrance-based.
