NIFT Rae Bareli Overview
National Institute of Fashion Technology Rae Bareli is a public sector fashion institute located in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh state and was established in the year 2007. The campus building started functioning from a temporary campus in a building which is spanning over 1.46 Acres taken on lease from M/s Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) Ltd. The Institute has a lush greenery and non polluting ambiance.
The Institute offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and outreach (Hybrid) courses in various subjects like fashion design, accessory design, leather design, fashion communication, bachelor of fashion technology (apparel design), etc. NIFT Rae Bareli follows Government of India; central Civil services (CONDUCT) Rules, 1964. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The Academic and Administrative blocks are located in multi-storied buildings having an adequate number of classrooms, studios, laboratories, and a resource centre which includes a library. National Institute of Fashion Technology Rae Bareli offers a wide variety of UG, PG, and outreach (Hybrid) programs in the fields of fashion like Fashion Technology, Fashion Design, Fashion Management and more. Admissions into NIFT Rae Bareli will start in November 2025 (tentative) and the last date to fill out an application form is January 2026 (Tentative). Some of the popular courses are Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Leather Design, Master of fashion management, Printmaking, Goods CAD (Rhino Basic in Hybrid mode) and many more.
Students who want admission in UG programs must have Passed 10+2 with Physics & Maths from a recognized board. The candidate must not be older than 24 Years of Age as of August 1 of the Admission Year (Relaxation of 5 Years for SC/ST/PwD candidates). For PG courses the NIFT Rae Bareli provides a Master of Fashion Management course for which candidates must have a UG Degree in any discipline from any recognized Institute/ University.
Additionally, the approximate fee range for the above mentioned course is between INR 6.46 Lakhs - 14.09 Lakh depending upon the course chosen. While applying for admission students must pay the application fee along with a late admission fee of INR 5000 (if applicable) which is the same for all programs.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Rae Bareli Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
NIFT Rae Bareli provides several UG, PG and Outreach (Hybrid) programs with specific eligibility criteria (depending on each program) for the 2025-26 session.
All the interested candidates must have their 10+2 passed with Physics & Maths from a recognized board.
Note: - Candidates must not be above the age of 24 Years as of August 1 of the Admission Year (Relaxation of 5 Years is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
For PG programs candidates, they must have an undergraduate degree in relevant subjects from a recognized University.
For Outreach program (Hybrid) candidates, students are required to pass 10th class or 12th class with basic computer education (depending on the chosen course) from a reputed board.
To get into any of the courses, an Entrance Test such as NIFT Entrance Exam which is conducted by NTA must be cleared. After that, candidates must pass institute level GAT, CAT exams with a personal interview.

Across all the NIFT campuses following three scholarship schemes are available:
SARTHAK NIFT Financial Assistance Scheme: This Scheme is applicable to all the students of NIFT Rae Bareli fulfilling required criteria. The scheme aims to ensure that students are not deprived of quality education for financial reasons, particularly students who belong to economically weaker sections of our society.
“UDAAN”- NIFT Scholarship scheme for foreign studies: The students belonging to economically weaker sections of NIFT fulfilling the criteria of “SARTHAK” NIFT Financial Assistance Scheme”, will be eligible for consideration under this scheme.
National Scholarship: NIFT Rae Bareli students, who come under SC/ST Category can avail the National Scholarship available on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) as per the eligibility through the link https://scholarships.gov.in/.
