Undergraduate (UG): The applicants should have successfully finished 10+2 or its equivalent with an average of 50% marks in any stream. Enrollment is done by the NIFT Entrance Exam that comprises the creative ability test (CAT) and general Ability Test (GAT), and then a situational test is administered to design programs. There can also be sports and cultural achievements that can be accorded some extra weightage during the admission process.
Postgraduate (PG): The applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree with a recognised university with an average of at least 50%. Admission is done with the Graduate Aptitude Test (GADT) and Personal Interview, depending on the programme, i.e. whether it is M.Des or MFM.
