NIFT Bhubaneswar Overview
NIFT Bhubaneswar is one of the best NIFT campuses in the country. It was established in 2010 at its temporary campus in Jatni, Odisha, but later shifted to a permanent campus near KIIT University on March 31, 2012, by the Union Textile Minister of India, Shri Anand Sharma, and the Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Navin Patnaik, along with many dignitaries. NIFT Bhubaneshwar is one of the 18 campuses of NIFT by the Ministry of Textiles, India.
It is ranked 27th in the Design Category by the IIRF ranking 2024. It has also been ranked 11th in Fashion Technology by The Week Magazine in 2024. NIFT Bhubaneswar offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Continuing Education Programs, and Hybrid Courses in various disciplines of Fashion Technology, such as Bachelor of Design (B.Des), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech), Master of Fashion Management (MFM), Continuing Education Programs, PhD, etc.
NIFT Bhubaneswar has great infrastructure in its campus, such as 4 IT Labs, an Advanced weaving studio with electronic Jacquard and Dobby, 4 Garment Construction and Pattern making labs, a dedicated Fashion and Photography studio with all audio visual support, and classrooms equipped with audio control systems, LCD projectors, an auditorium, and Medical facilities etc.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Admission
National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bhubaneswar, offers courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It also offers Continuing Education Programs, which are three to five months long, such as Fundamentals of Hand Sketching and Digital Drawing, Apparel Production and Management, etc. NIFT Bhubaneswar fees for these CE programs are between INR 35,400 to INR 36,934 for the full session.
Candidates who want to get admission into these courses must fill out the application form through the official website of the NIFT Bhubaneswar. Applicants must also appear for the National-Level NIFT Entrance Exam (NIFTEE), which also includes the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT).

National Institute of Fashion Technology Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
For admission to various courses at NIFT Bhubaneswar, students must have to meet the minimum admission eligibility criteria.
Candidates who want to get admission into the B.Des Programs should have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognised board. Candidates from any stream can apply for admission in the B.Des course at NIFT Bhubaneswar.
For admission in the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) course at NIFT Bhubaneswar, students must have either a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian university or a minimum three-year UG diploma from NIFT or NID.
Candidates who want to seek admission in the Continuing Education Program must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent, or a graduate degree, or a full-time diploma after 10+2. Applicants must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in these examinations.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Scholarship 2025
NIFT Bhubaneswar provides several scholarships for regular students who belong to financially weaker sections. The Institute offers scholarships like the SARTHAK scheme, UDAAN scheme, Merit-cum-need scholarship, etc, to financially help the needy students. These scholarships are based on the merit-cum-need criteria for financially needy students of the reserved category, SC/ST, and OBC students. The college also offers educational loan facilities in collaboration with Union Bank of India, which many students find satisfactory.
