The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies is a legacy in the field of Master of Business Administration. In 1981, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) established NMIMS Mumbai to meet the demand foqr management education. To get admission in UG, candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in relevant subjects. The NMIMS Mumbai offers the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship to support students from economically weaker sections, including those from General, SC, ST, and physically handicapped categories. This scholarship is given based on the marks scored in the Senior Secondary Examination. The scholarships are distributed among various State Education Boards according to the population of students aged 18–25 years.
Students who score above 80% and have a family income below INR 6 lakh per year are eligible. They receive INR 1,000 per month at the undergraduate level and INR 2,000 per month at the postgraduate level. For professional courses, students get INR 2,000 per month during the 4th and 5th years of study. The scholarship is provided for 10 months each academic year.
