The admission process for BTech at MNNIT Allahabad is done through the JEE Main exam, followed by JoSAA counselling, including special spot rounds. MNNIT Allahabad Eligibility Criteria
Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad offers various programs such as B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, MCA, MBA, and Ph.D. in multiple fields like Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and more. Admission to these courses is based on national-level entrance exams (JEE Mains, GATE, NIMCET), and candidates must meet the minimum eligibility requirements for each program.
To get admission in B.Tech, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 75% (65% for reserved category) marks in PCM and have a valid JEE Main score. The final selection is done through JoSAA counselling. For M.Tech, candidates must hold a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% marks and have a valid GATE score. Admission is done through the CCMT counselling process. Sponsored or part-time candidates may also apply.
The M.Sc program (Mathematics and Scientific Computing) requires a B.Sc degree with Mathematics and at least 60% marks. Admission is based on IIT-JAM followed by CCMN counselling. To apply for MCA, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with 60% marks in Mathematics/CS as one of the main disciplines and a valid NIMCET score.
For an MBA, candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% (55% for reserved category) marks in any discipline. Candidates must have a valid score in CAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT, XAT, or ATMA, followed by GD and PI rounds.
For Ph.D. programs, candidates must have a master’s degree with at least 60% marks in the relevant disciplines. A valid GATE, NET, or similar national-level exam score is required, along with a written test and interview conducted by the institute.
MNNIT Allahabad Placement 2025
MNNIT Allahabad recorded a successful placement season in 2025, with over 1,294 offers made by more than 531 companies. Around 90% of B.Tech students were placed, with the highest salary package offered being INR 71.14 LPA and the average package standing at INR 19.48 LPA.
In the B.Tech program, CSE achieved 87.44% placements with an average salary package of INR 28.38 LPA. Some of the major streams like IT, ECE, and EE have also performed well with a placement rate of 84% and average packages above INR 20 LPA. Mechanical and Chemical Engineering streams have a placement rate of 90%, with the latter receiving offers up to INR 63.78 LPA.
Among PG programs, M.Tech recorded 93.33% placement with an average salary of INR 19.48 LPA. The overall average packages of MCA, MBA, and M.Sc have an average package of INR 13.14 LPA, INR 7.10 LPA, and INR 9.32 LPA, respectively. MNNIT Allahabad Scholarships 2025
MNNIT Allahabad provides various scholarships and financial aid programs to both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across disciplines like Engineering, Management, Science, etc. The institute offers Merit‑cum‑Means scholarships to the top 10% of B.Tech students (INR 3,000/month), and students with family income below INR 1 lakh per annum may receive aid worth up to ₹10 lakh annually from the Student Welfare Fund.
For the postgraduate program, M.Tech students admitted through GATE receive a stipend of INR 12,400/month, while Ph.D. students receive INR 25,000/month for the first two years, increasing to INR 28,000/month for the remaining three years.
