Metro University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026

In order to secure seats at Metro University, students have to fulfil the eligibility criteria created by the university for admission to the various offered programs at the UG, PG, and PhD level of education. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below for all interested candidates to refer to:

• For admission to the UG programs, candidates must have passing certificates of class 10th and 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50% to 60% marks in subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• To secure seats at the PG programs, candidates must have a graduation degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the relevant field of education. In addition to the class 10th and 12th passing certificates.
• Additionally, the university also accepts the scorecards of entrance examinations such as CUET or MUET (Metro University Entrance Test).
• Candidates who are shortlisted are called up for a round of personal interviews, wherein the final selection is made, and the shortlisted candidates have to pay the admission fees after receiving the offer letter.

1. Merit Scholarship (Class 12th Based)

Applicants who have secured 75% or above in class 12th are eligible to apply for the merit scholarships. The Merit Scholarship is offered depending on the candidate’s academic performance, and under this scholarship, students can receive up to a 100% tuition fee waiver. The scholarship is awarded only on the tuition fee component and does not cover hostel, transport, or other charges. The tuition fee waiver, which will be provided under the Merit Scholarship, is as follows. 

2. Founding Scholars Scholarship

The Founding Scholars Scholarship offered by Metro University is a special scheme which is specifically designed for the first five meritorious students admitted to each programme. Candidates who complete the eligibility criteria can avail the benefits of this scholarship scheme. Eligible students receive a 100% tuition fee waiver for the first year, making it an excellent opportunity for early applicants.

3. Scholarship of the Social Welfare Department

Students who are residents of Uttar Pradesh and belong to the SC, ST, and OBC categories can apply for the UP Government Social Welfare Department Scholarship. The scholarship amount and eligibility are governed by the state government's guidelines and are released through the official scholarship portal.

• The scholarships offered are applicable for the concession in tuition fees only.
• Hostel fees, transportation charges, examination fees, and other university charges are not covered under the scholarship schemes.
• Students can avail only one scholarship at a time.
