Medhavi Skills University is a State University established through the Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act 2021. It has been included in the UGC list of universities established as per Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The University has been ranked 4th among the Top Skills Universities of India as per the Outlook ICARE Rankings 2025.
The University has received approvals from the Government of Sikkim, NSDC, NCIET, Pharmacy Council of India, NAPS, NATS, AIU, and others. It is an ISO certified University and recognised by the UGC. MSU is a one-of-a-kind University, with over 40 UGC recognised UG, PG, and Diploma programs, and 70% of its faculty have prior industry experience.
Medhavi Skills University offers courses, such as BSc, B.Tech, BPT, BHA, MHA, MBA, MCA, Diploma courses, and Work Integrated programs. Candidates applying for any of the courses offered by the University need to fulfil the eligibility criteria given below:
Candidates applying for the BSc in Hospitality Management must have passed Class 12 with a minimum qualifying mark.
For the BBA course, candidates are required to pass Class 12 with a minimum percentage in any stream.
For postgraduate courses such as MCA, candidates must have graduated from any stream with Maths in 10, 12, or Graduation.
For the two-year MHA course, students must have graduated in any stream.
The University also provides diploma courses such as Diploma in Computer Science Engineering, Diploma in Pharmacy, and Diploma in Patient Care Management, and candidates need to have passed class 10th/class 12th in any stream.
The placement cell at Medhavi Skill University provides 100% placement assistance to its students. They organise various sessions to enhance the students' knowledge and skills. Students at the University were offered the highest salary package of INR 3 LPA, while the average ranged between INR 1.5 to INR 3 LPA.
