Mahindra University is currently accepting applications for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs for the session 2026. The candidates who are interested in pursuing any program from MU can apply online using the university's official website or through the Admission Office. It is recommended that students should apply early to secure their seats.
For admission in the UG programs like BTech, BBA, BA Law, BBA Law, BJMC, BDes, students must complete his/her high school (10+2) with at least 50% marks overall. Admission into these programs is based on the entrance test scores from national examinations such as JEE Mains/ SAT/ CLAT/ LSAT or any other aptitude tests conducted by the university. Those candidates that are selected will be invited to interview and further evaluate the applicants.
To take admission in postgraduate programs, students must possess a valid bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Admission into postgraduate programs will require a valid admissions test score from a national admissions test (e.g. CAT, GMAT, GRE) as well as a minimum aggregate mark of 50%, and will be based on the interview performance.
For PhD programs, applicants are required to have a valid master's degree in a related subject area. Some PhD programs also require students to submit either valid GATE or NET scores, as well as take the admission test and interview provided by the university.
If the applicant is unable to provide a valid national admissions test scores, Mahindra University also conducts its own entrance exam and provides the student with the opportunity to complete the MULET 2026 entrance examination for law, MUHET 2026 entrance examination for hospitality, and/or MUMET for MBA degree programs. All admissions are determined through a process based completely on merit; therefore, the applicant is responsible for ensuring that they have completed the admissions process as outlined above.

Mahindra University has different eligibility requirements for its undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs. The criteria vary depending on the course, but all applicants must meet the minimum academic qualifications and entrance requirements specified for their selected program.
For undergraduate courses such as B.Tech, BBA, Law, Design, Journalism, and Hospitality Management, students must have completed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognized board. The minimum required marks usually range between 60% and 80%, depending on the course. For B.Tech programs, students must qualify in exams like JEE (Main), SAT, or ACT, or meet other approved criteria. Applicants for the law program need a valid score in CLAT, LSAT, or the university’s own entrance test (MULET). The Working Professionals Program at Mahindra University Hyderabad, is designed for employed candidates. For M.Tech, the candidate must have a B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 60% marks and should have worked for at least one year. On the other hand, for B.Tech a candidate should have passed Diploma in Civil Engineering with 60% or higher marks and should have worked for at least two years. A merit-based scholarship of INR 1,00,000 is awarded to the top 10% of students in each program, based on their JEE Mains, SAT, or 12th grade scores. In addition, the top 20 female students in the École Centrale School of Engineering receive INR 1,00,000 to support and promote women in engineering learning.
A separate scholarship is also provided to the top 5 students from the North East region, to encourage the talented students from this particular area. This indicates that the university promotes diversity and inclusivity.
