DEB-ID Generation for Admissions
UGC-DEB has issued a public notice in 19 August, 2024, important for every applicant (only applicable to Indian applicants) wishing to get admitted to any kind of Open and Distance Learning (ODE) or Online Programmes (OL) that they must generate a DEB-ID using their Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID.
Hence DEB-ID is mandatory for admissions here at LPU online courses too. Following are the steps to generate DEB-ID-
Applicants must visit the UGC-DEB web portal https://deb.ugc.ac.in/StudentDeBID and generate DEB-ID using his own Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID.
If an applicant lacks an Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID, he can create his ID through the official DigiLocker portal. This DEB-ID, once generated, will remain valid for his entire lifetime.
Note: Without a valid DEB-ID, admission cannot be granted to ODL/ OL course Programmes available at LPU Online.
