Lovely Professional University provides a number of courses for diverse student needs. For each courses the admission eligibility criteria and admission process also varies. Lovely Professional University (LPU) provides admission to the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in the departments of Engineering, Management, Science, Law, Arts, Design and other disciplines, with a total of more than 150 programmes. The Lovely Professional University course admissions process varies by program chosen. In most of the courses of LPU, the admissions and scholarships depend largely on LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). The whole application and admission process is carried out online through the official LPU admission portal.
For undergraduate programmes like BA, B.Sc, and B.Com, candidates are typically required to have passed 10+2 from a recognised board with programme-specific minimum marks, which are generally in a range of 50-55% or above. B.Tech applicants are expected to have 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and English and meet the minimum aggregate marks requirement as specifie. They also require to have a valid LPUNEST score.

Admission for Computer Science and Engineering Courses After Post-Graduation
LPU offers a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering in both full-time and part-time modes. The admission is based on academic merit and performance in the entrance test. The final selection will be made on the basis of the written test and interview performance, subject to the minimum interview marks.

The Agriculture courses of LPU are approved by ICAR. To get admission in agriculture courses, candidates should meet the requirements. The eligibility criteria for each course vary. However, LPU considers candidates who have 55%-65% marks or above in the qualifying examination.
In most courses, Lovely Professional University gives relaxation of 5% marks for North-East, Sikkim, or Defence Personnel candidates.
Admission for Agriculture Courses After 12
The eligibility criteria to take admission in B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture is:

Candidates willing to take admission in Ph.D agriculture course should pass with 65% aggregate marks in their qualifying exam. For the Ph.D. (Agronomy) course, candidates should pass through the M.Sc. Ag. Agronomy or M.Sc. Agriculture with specialisation in Soil Water Management, Forage Production, or Water Science and Technology. However, this subject/discipline requirement varies for each programme.
Computer Applications Admission
LPU has flexibility in its admissions for Computer Applications courses at different levels. After 12th, BCA/B.Sc. IT requires 50% in 10+2; the specialised one, like BCA AI/ML, needs 60%. A lateral entry after a diploma is asking for 50% aggregate, while 5% relaxation is for the North-East, Sikkim, defence, or Kashmiri migrants. LPU provides admission to students in the Mechanical Engineering department through UG, lateral entry, PG, and Ph.D. levels based on LPUNEST/GATE. For B.Tech. course candidates need to pass class 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as the main subjects and at least 60% marks; a diploma/B.Sc. holder lateral entry needs 60% of the marks.
M.Tech. Aerospace Engineering course requires a related field of B.Tech. with 55% of the marks; and Ph.D. in a relevant Master's with 55% or a 4-year Bachelor's with 75%, followed by an interview. There are relaxations allowed for different categories.

LPU has option for Film and Television admissions at multiple educational levels. The students who passed out of the class 10+2 with English and obtaining 50% marks are eligible to apply for B.Sc. Film and TV Production and B.Design Film and TV Production. Any graduate having a bachelor's degree in any stream and with 50% marks may be admitted on merit only in M.Sc. Film and TV Production, with relaxation for reserved categories. LPU Business courses admission is possible through different merit-based criteria, entrance test, and LPUNEST score after 10th, 12th, diploma, graduation, and post-graduation. After the 10th, a candidate can take admission in the Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) program. For this, a candidate should have to fulfil at least 50% of marks in English or the equivalent. Education Courses Admission
There are education courses at LPU offered at integrated graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels through merit and selection procedures based on LPUNEST. After 12th, candidates who have passed with English and secured 50% aggregate marks can apply for Integrated B.A.–B.Ed. and B.Sc.–B.Ed. programmes, provided they qualify for LPUNEST (merit based). Graduates holding a bachelor's degree and with 55% aggregate marks are entitled to admission to B.Ed. and M.A. Education programmes.
For research programmes Ph.D Education, the applicants should have M.Ed. or an equivalent qualification with at least 55% of the marks. Admission to Ph.D. (Education) is determined by the LPUNEST (Ph.D.) score followed by a personal interview as per LPU regulations.

Physical Education Courses Admission
At LPU, Physical Education Courses admission is available at three levels, i.e., undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral, through LPUNEST, merit-based selection, and fitness test wherever applicable. For admission in graduation course B.Sc. Health and Physical Education or Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports a candidate who has passed 10+2 with English and secured 50% aggregate marks may apply.
Graduates holding a relevant bachelor's degree and having 55% aggregate marks are eligible for admission to Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) and Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) courses. The applicants for doctoral studies should have an M.P.Ed. or an equivalent degree with 55% marks. Admission to Ph.D. (Physical Education) is based on LPUNEST (Ph.D.) score followed by the interview and fitness assessment, as per LPU norms.

About the LPUNEST Entrance Test
The LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a university-level admission test. In addition to admission, it is also used for scholarship for various undergraduate and postgraduate level courses, including diploma programs in the Engineering, Management, Law, Design, and Hospitality streams. This online test is conducted under exam conditions at different centres and consists of 125 multiple-choice questions, which are scored on a total of 500 marks.
The exam duration is a time frame of 150 minutes. In addition, high scorers may qualify for scholarships of up to INR. 8.40 Lakhs based on their results from LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) and can obtain scholarship application kits from LPUNEST at INR 1000 to ensure rigorous evaluation of candidates. Admission Process in Lovely Professional University
The admission process for all the courses offered by LPU is mainly similar (a few steps are excluded by program), which simply follows the signup process to register and than proceeding for admission.
Step 1: Signup
First, candidates need to register at LPUADMIT by providing their primary details. The email address that the candidate will use for registration will be the username for the portal. They will get the password at the time of registration.
The candidate will receive an email with their registered email ID regarding the same.
Log in to LPUADMIT, using the already created username/ password.
Step 2: Apply LPUNEST (for Scholarship)
LPUNEST has been designed as an online test to be a gateway through which you can enter the programme of your interest. LPUNEST serves as a scholarship test, and a student can get a very high scholarship based on their performance in this test.
Pay for the test fee:
The price of the Application form, along with the Soft copy of the LPUNEST Kit, is 1000 (for Boys and Girls).
The price of the Application form, along with the Printed LPUNEST Kit, is 1500 (for Boys and Girls).
Fill and complete the test application form.
Step 3: Book an exam slot and appear in the exam
Book the LPUNEST Exam slot:
In case of a Test Centre-Based Exam, book the venue, date, and time of your choice.

Just show up for the test and pass it.
Step 4: Result and seat allotment through online counselling
Candidates need to obtain their scorecard/ rank.
Fill out seat preferences.
Aspirants may select their preferred stream and programme for their education.
In the initial counselling session, the candidate will be given a certain preference number based on the availability of seats and the choices made by the candidates.
Take a printout of the allotment letter and move ahead by registering yourself.

Step 5: Take Admission
Fill the application form.
Select your programme from the Available Programme List.
Deposit initial admission payment. After the successful realization of the payment:
A Unique Candidate ID. will be generated and sent to your registered Email ID.
Upload the documents.

Date of Birth proof (Matric certificate, Aadhaar card)
Qualifying exam Certificate/ Marksheet. Also, if the applicant is claiming a scholarship on the basis of a qualificatbeforer to the eligibility qualification, he/ she is required to submit the previous qualification exam certificate/ marksheet also.
Apply for residential / mess/ transportation/parking facility as per the requirement.
All the submitted documents are to be verified from the originals within the prescribed timelines.
Deposit the balance fee within the timelines prescribed by the university.

Offline Mode for PhD Admission (Alternate Option)
Step 1: Offline Mode
Applicant are need to get the offline mode LPUNEST kit from the campus university or any other trusted and prescribed place after paying the cash.
The applicant should pay the cash amount of the application form fee of the LPUNEST Kit of INR 1000
After the applicant has received the LPUNEST Kit, the application will need to be submitted to LPU using either of the two options below:
Manual submission: Once the applicant has completed the Application Form (OMR), the applicant should then read "Instructions for Filling Out Application Form (OMR)" and proceed to complete all pages of the Application Form. Once completed, the applicant should send it to the University via a self-addressed Envelope sent to the address listed below:

Step 2: Semi-Offline Application
Semi-Offline Application: The applicant can scratch off the unique OMR code on the application form (OMR Sheet) if the applicant cannot mail the hardcopy of the application Form/OMR Sheet. The applicant can then follow these steps:
Create an account on the LPU ADMIT Portal (admission.lpu.in).
At the time of making a payment, select the option 'Unique OMR Code' (mentioned on the OMR Sheet) and enter the code in the box provided.
After the online submission of the application form has been successfully completed, please refer to Step 4 of Online Application Mode (as explained previously).
Note: Incomplete Applications received at LPU will not be processed, and LPU does not have a responsibility to notify the applicant. For such a candidate university does not generatean admit card.
Mode of Payment
LPU facilitate different way to submit the academic fee as per the convenience of students. Students either opts Demand Draft/Pay Order in the name of course’s department they are applying for. For example, students willing to take admission in B.Tech Information Technology course need to pay Demand draft in the name of “Lovely Faculity Of Technology and Sciences” payable at Jalandhar. In the same way, other courses have their respective departments palpable name. Other parliament modes are:
Cash: Cash deposits accepted exclusively at the Division of Admissions on the University Campus in Phagwara, Punjab.
Online Payment: Credit/Debit Card payments available only for online application submissions.
