Candidates who want to apply for any one of the courses available on the website should fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
For graduate courses such as B.E./B. Tech candidates need to have passed class 12th with a minimum number of marks, and also need to participate in the TNEA counselling.
However, for the BSc course, admission is merit-based as the college considers students who have completed their 12th class with the minimum required marks.
For postgraduate courses such as M.E./M. Tech candidates need to graduate from a recognised university. They also need to appear for exams such as GATE & CEETA.
Candidates applying for the MSc need to graduate in a relevant field from a recognised university.
Whereas, for courses such as MBA and MCA, candidates need to have passed graduation from a recognised university in the relevant stream, along with appearing for the TANCET exam.

Kongu Engineering College has five B.Tech courses, such as B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, B.Tech Food Technology, B.Tech Information Technology, and B.Tech Chemical Engineering. All the courses are of four years, and the seat intake ranges from 60 to 180. Candidates who want to apply to these courses should have passed class 12th with compulsory subjects such as PCM. Along with this, candidates should take part in the TNEA counselling.
The college provides postgraduate courses such as M.E Computer Science & Engineering, M.E. VLSI Design, M.E. Structural Engineering, M.Tech Food Technology, MBA, and MBA. All the courses provided by the college are of two years. Courses like M.E. and M.Tech have an intake of 6 seats each. M.E. in Structural Engineering has an intake of 12 seats, M.Tech in Food Technology has an intake of 18 seats, and MBA and MCA have an intake of 120 seats each.
