JSPM University Overview
The JSPM University was established by the Gnanamani Group Of Institutions. JSPM University, provides highly in demand educational course programs and enhances the knowledge of students to contribute in the engineering and its allied sectors. Started by JSPM Group of Institutes, Pune, since its year of its establishment, JSPM Pune has continually evolved and flourished.
As per the Government of Maharashtra, 28th February, 2023 was the date on which JSPM University, Pune became operational officially. It has expanded into a multidisciplinary university offering a diverse set of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various fields, including Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Arts & Commerce, Education, Health Sciences, Law and Computer Applications.
The courses that are offered at the JSPM University include B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering (VLSI Design) at the UG level. At the PG level, M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and VLSI Systems Program are offered by JSPM University.

JSPM University Admission 2025
The admission in UG Programs of JSPM University is done through the CUET entrance exam. The application forms for the CUET Exam will be released in October 2025 (tentative), and the last date for submitting the application form will be November 2025 (tentative). Students who achieve the maximum score in CUET Mains are eligible for University counselling for seat allotment.
Whereas JSPM University invites the application forms in the PG Program after the CUET Counselling. If the seats are available in the PG programs, the University conducts an entrance exam and personal interview for admission.
Along with this, candidates are also required to have a bachelor’s and master’s degree with 75% or 60% of marks, respectively, in the relevant discipline. Reserved category candidates are given a concession of 5% in the marks of the bachelor’s degree.

JSPM University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to any UG as well as PG course offered at JSPM University is a bachelor’s degree with the minimum marks required. Before enrolling in any Program at JSPM University, candidates are advised to check the requirements first.
University first takes into consideration first- NEET entrance exam scores for its medical courses, JEE entrance exam scores for its engineering courses, PERA-CET for its science & research courses, CAT/ XMAT/ MH-MBA-CET for its commerce and management courses, thereafter performs college level counselling based upon merit scores of these entrance exams.
Certificate Courses: Any graduate with at least 45% marks.
UG (B.Tech): 12th pass with minimum 75% marks (Science with Physics), CUET score + university counselling (minimum 45% required in HSC).
PG Programs: Admission through CUET counselling; if seats remain, written test + interview. Bachelor's degree with 60% marks (55% for reserved category).
PG Diploma: Must have completed a diploma in any stream.
PhD: Master’s degree in relevant field with minimum 55% marks.

JSPM University Scholarships 2025
The JSPM University provides different scholarship schemes to the meritorious and deserving candidates. Apart from this, candidates of the JSPM University, can also apply for the external scholarships provided by the Indian government, which include the "National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students”. Under this scheme financial assistance is provided by the ministry as per scheme norms. Candidates who want to avail themselves of the benefits of this scheme can fill in the application forms from National Scholarships Portal (NSP).
Eligible students at JSPM University also benefit from state scholarship schemes like Rajshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship Scheme etc. sponsored by the state government of Maharashtra, full details are available on the Maha DBT Portal.
In terms of merit-based scholarships provided by the university privately, under the special supervision of the group running the JSP Group of institutions, JSPM Trust, in the last year 2023-24, the trust allotted an amount of INR 50 lakhs for the last academic session, which resulted in the fee to be waived off for the meritorious students from 30% of the total fee amount upto 45%.
