A wide range of courses are offered by the JK Lakshmipat University, such as B.Tech, BBA, MBA, M.Tech, PhD, etc. To be eligible for admission, students must meet the basic requirements set by the university, which is Class 12 for UG, Bachelor’s degree for PG and Master’s degree is required for PhD admission. Entrance exam scores are also required for admission, which include JEE Mains, GATE, etc. The university also offers lateral entry admission for international students who wish to transfer after completing their first or second year of undergraduate studies. JK Lakshmipat University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025

For admission to the desired course, candidates must be eligible. Various eligibility criteria are mentioned below for admission to different programs of JKLU:

• For admission to the BBA course, candidates must have completed Class 12 with at least 60% marks, including English and three subjects as per the university rules. Along with this, aspirants must have CUET valid scores.

• To be admitted to the BDes program, students must have completed Class 12 by securing at least 60% marks in English. Moreover, aspirants must have valid scores in the UCEED /JK DET Exam.

• Candidates who wish to enrol in JKLU's BTech program must fulfil the requirements, which include passing the JEE Mains with valid scores and Class 12 with at least 60% in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with 60% or 6.0 CGPA to be admitted to the postgraduate program. Depending on the course, candidates must also have valid scores in entrance examinations like the CAT, XAT, GATE, JKU Test, etc.

• For a PhD course, a master's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% of the marks, or a 5.5 CGPA, is required. However, students pursuing BE or BTech programs are also qualified, if they receive 75% or a 7.5 CGPA. Candidates with at least 60% marks and a CGPA of 6.0 or more and having 10+ years of industrial experience are also eligible.

JK Lakshmipat University offers various scholarships to remove the financial burden of its potential students. For different Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses , different eligibility criteria are set by the university that students have to fulfil to get the scholarships. These eligibility criteria include having excellent academic results with good scores in entrance exams. Scholarship amount is based on the marks and scores secured by the students. 

Other scholarships, like a Single Girl Child Scholarship, Sibling/ Alumni scholarships, etc, are also available. Applicants who are wards of military personnel, members of the SC/ST community, students with disabilities, students from Northeastern Union Territories (apart from Delhi and Chandigarh), and students attending JKO schools would receive a 10% scholarship and are eligible for the Special category scholarship.
