JIND Institute of Engineering and Technology has outlined the eligibility criteria for the various courses in the 2025 admission cycle. These standards differ among Undergraduate, Post-graduate, and Diploma courses, and are intended to be aligned with nationally agreed standards of education.
To apply for the B.Tech program, candidate should have passed the Class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, and one out of English, Biotechnology, Biology, with a minimum of 50% marks (42.75% in reserved category) in the combination of the subject or have completed a Diploma with a minimum of 50% marks (40% in reserved category). The institute provides B.Tech courses in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering.
Applicants must have completed Class 12 in any stream with English as a core subject to be eligible to do the BBA and BCA programs. Although there is no entrance test, one is admitted on the basis of merit and performance on the qualifying examination. These courses are for students who want to study business management and computer applications, respectively.
For a Diploma in Engineering, the candidate should have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) in a recognised board. The diploma courses are three-year courses offered in core engineering branches. Students with class 12th in vocational subjects or ITI are also allowed to enter the second year on a lateral basis.
JIET also provides M.Tech programs in a few specialisations at the postgraduate level. The candidates should have a B. Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks(42.57% for reserved candidates). These are selected on the basis of merit and availability of seats.
