JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus offers placements to its students who are pursuing their targeted course at the UG and Integrated Levels. The placement cell of JIMS, also known as Career Development Centre (CDC) organizes various career development sessions to improve the soft skills, professional communication, and personality of the students through career counselling.
Also, they organize seminars, workshops, Industrial visits, and summer training, and guest lectures for the students so that they can prepare themselves for the final placement, which is around September onwards. The cell of JIMS also offers internships to its students after 2nd,4th,6th/7th semesters or as per AICTE guidelines or affiliating Universities' guidelines. The general Procedure for arranging Internships is described below in the following Points:
Step-1: A Request Letter from the training and placement cell of the college to the various industries regarding the allotment of numerous slots of 4-6 weeks during summer vacation. Students request a letter/profile/Interest areas may also be submitted to industries for their willingness regarding the training.
Step-2: The Industry will send its confirmation letter back to the Training and Placement cell and will confirm the training slots. In case the students arrange the training themselves, the confirmation letter will be submitted by the students to the office, and training and placement will be through the concerned department.
Step-3: The Student, upon joining Training in the concerned Industry, will submit the joining letter.
Step-4: Students undergo industrial training at the concerned Industry; meanwhile, faculty members submit the evaluation report of the students to the department office.
Step-5: Students will submit their training report after the completion of the Internship.
Step-6: Training certificate to be obtained by the Industry.
Step-7: Students who have completed their internship will receive a certificate from the training and placement cell.
