ITSCHWS offers a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) at the UG level, through which students can become future physiotherapists. In this course, students get hands-on practical training, experienced faculty, and an Independent Physiotherapy OPD within the campus. It is a five-year undergraduate program, which helps students develop their patients’ condition related to their motor controls, treatment, and outcomes. Selection to this course is done through the NEET score. The first-year fee for the BPT course is INR 85,000, and the total tuition fee is INR 3,25,000. The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a five-year undergraduate program (including internship), and the course is recognised by the UP State Medical faculty. Its curriculum covers the study of Human Anatomy, Electrotherapy, Physiology, General Medicine, Exercise Therapy, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Paediatrics, and General Surgery.
Students also get to practise in the Exercise Therapy lab, and the electrotherapy lab helps combine theoretical and clinical learning. With the help of this course, students get to learn different types of therapeutic exercises and electro-physical modalities that help treat illnesses and impairments that affect the back, spine, neck, shoulder, and legs.
After the completion of 4 years, students are enrolled for a year of internship with a well-recognised company to prepare them for real-life scenarios. Furthermore, this helps students get an opportunity to get placed in some of the well-established healthcare companies.
Candidates who want to get admission into this course should have passed class 12th from a recognised board in the science stream or in PCB. Furthermore, they should have secured a minimum of 50% marks and appear for the NEET entrance examination.
Upon completion of the course, students can work as Physiotherapists in Hospitals, Clinical research experts, sports physiotherapists, Home care therapists, ICU specialists, Medical Coding specialists, tutors, lecturers, professors, rehabilitation team members, and more.
