ICM Dehradun was started as a training centre for middle-level managers working in cooperative institutions and related government departments. In 2006, the institute started the MBA program, which is affiliated with Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. Later in 2011, the BBA program was started, and affiliated with Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Tehri Garhwal.
