Indore Institute of Law (IIL) has started the admission process for the 2026 academic session for courses such as BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.) with Global & Transnational Studies, LLB (Hons.), and LLM. For admission to the 5-year integrated law programmes like BA LLB and BBA LLB, students must have completed their Class 12 education from a recognised board. Candidates applying for the 3-year LLB programme should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Meanwhile, applicants seeking admission to the LLM programme must have completed graduation with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks for the General category and 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates. The institute also follows an age criterion for admission to integrated law courses.

The admission process at Indore Institute of Law is conducted in three stages. First, candidates need to appear for the IILET (Indore Institute of Law Entrance Test). Shortlisted candidates are then required to take a Psychometric Test followed by a Personal Interview. Participation in all three rounds is compulsory for final selection.

For integrated law programmes, 70% of seats are allotted through IILET scores, while 20% of seats are reserved for candidates with valid CLAT or LSAT scores. The remaining 10% of seats are filled based on merit in Class 12 examinations.

Indore Institute of Law Eligibility Criteria 2026

The eligibility criteria of the Indore Institute of Law vary from programme to programme and are basic as well as student-friendly. Also, the institute approves the application forms of only those candidates who complete the eligibility criteria. • Eligibility for LLB Programme: Applicants must have passed the 10th and 12th from a well-recognised state and central board. Along with this, applicants need to have a graduation in any stream with at least 45% marks for the General category and 40% marks for the SC/ST category. There is no age limit for admission, and candidates who appeared for the annual examination are also eligible to apply.

• Eligibility for LLM Programme: Candidates who have completed a graduation degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate for the General Category & 50% marks in aggregate for the SC/ST Category from a UGC-Approved educational institution can take admission in the LLM programme. Along with that, there is no age limit for admission in this programme. 

• Eligibility for Integrated Programme: The Indore Institute of Law also offers 5-year integrated programmes, which help the candidates to complete the two degrees at the same time. The eligibility criteria for admission to the integrated programme of IIL candidates are required to complete their 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate marks. In addition, applicants must meet the age criteria. Candidates having valid scores in national-level entrance exams like CLAT or LSAT are also eligible to apply for this programme. 

Along with academic knowledge, the Indore Institute of Law (IIL) also focuses on building the skills of the candidates so that they can be placed in well-equipped positions in the top law firms in India. The Institute has a dedicated placement and career development cell, which facilitates placements for candidates and, along with that, helps the candidates to enhance their skills as well as get industry exposure through the internship opportunities.

For the academic year 2024, out of 138 LLB students, 58 students were placed with a median package of INR 4 LPA, whereas for the integrated programmes (BA LLB and BBA LLB), 92 students secured placements. The median salary package for the BA LLB/BBA LLB programmes stood at INR 6 LPA, which has increased from INR 5.45 LPA to INR 6 LPA as compared to last year. 

During the LLM course placements, only 2 students secured placements since last year, when the number of students placed was 7. The median package for LLM stood at INR 3.80 LPA, presenting a growth of 5.55%.
