IIT Tirupati Admission Process
IIT Tirupati offers a wide range of courses such as BTech, MTech, MPP, MS by Research, etc. Admission to these courses is based on merit and a national-level entrance exam. The entrance exams accepted by the institute are JEE Advanced for BTech, GATE for MTech, and IIT-JAM for MSc. Seat allocation will be done through respective counselling processes such as JoSAA for BTech, COAP for MTech and JOAPS for MSc.
IIT Tirupati Admission 2025
Admissions for various courses at IIT Tirupati are going on based on the seat allotment of various national-level entrance exams. The institute has released the cutoff list for various UG and PG programs. Eligible candidates are advised to check the merit list, and if qualified, can appear for the counselling process before the deadline. IIT Tirupati Eligibility Criteria

IIT Tirupati MTech Admission 2025
IIT Tirupati provides MTech as a core course at the PG level in different streams such as CE, CSE, Civil Engineering, ME, etc. For MTech admission, an applicant must have a BE/ BTech or an equivalent Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% in a relevant field.
The admission round based on the GATE score is out. Eligible candidates can take admission if they have been allotted seats in these admission rounds. The tuition fee for the MTech course is INR 8,000 per semester.
IIT Tirupati PhD Admissions
IIT Tirupati offers a PhD program in different specialisations, with a duration of 5 Years. The application process began on 10 March 2025 and ended on 14 April 2025. A Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 8 or above CGPA is required for PhD admission. Along with this, candidates must have a qualified score in either of the entrance examinations: GATE, UGC-NET/ JRF/ CSIR, etc.
