
IIT Delhi offers admission to BTech/BDes, MTech/MDes, MPP, MS(R), MBA, MSc and PhD courses at UG, PG and PhD levels. It accepts IIT Delhi course admissions through national-level entrance examinations like JEE, UCEED, GATE CEED, JAM, and CAT. The eligibility criteria for these courses differ depending on the level of the program. The basic eligibility criteria for BTech is Class 12th (PCM). One-time payment of INR 2000 (mandatory) should be paid by the candidate as an application fee.

IIT Delhi offers a variety of courses, such as BTech, MTech, BDes, MBA etc., in different disciplines at UG, and PG levels. Admission to all these courses is merit and entrance-based. Candidates pursuing PG, who have a UG degree from any of the IITs, are eligible for admission without any entrance examination score.
To become eligible for UG admissions, students must have cleared Class 12 from any recognised board.
Candidates who want to pursue BTech must have appeared and qualified JEE Main and Advanced.
Candidates applying for the BDes program must have cleared UCEED.
PG candidates must have cleared the prescribed entrance examinations along with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with an aggregate of at least 55% or 5.5 CGPA.
GATE is required for MTech
CEED is required for MDes
CAT is required for MBA
JAM is required for MSc
IIT Delhi offers BTech/BDes in CSE, CE, Design, Electrical Engineering, etc. Different UG courses require different eligibility criteria, with a mandatory 10+2 (PCM) education. Candidates who want to pursue BTech must have passed class 12th (PCM) with a minimum percentage and have a valid JEE Advanced score. Candidates who want to pursue BDes require a minimum percentage in class 12th and have secured a valid score in UCEED. The application fee for these courses is INR 2000, which is a mandatory one-time payment to the institute at the time of admission. The fee structure for BTech/ BDes is INR 1,00,000 per semester.
IIT Delhi offers BTech in CE, CSE, EE, Mathematics & Computing, Design, Energy Science & Engineering, Textile Technology, etc. To get admission into BTech, the basic eligibility criteria are Class 12th with PCM. Candidates are also required to have a valid score in JEE Advanced. The fee structure for BTech (per semester) is INR 1,00,000.
IIT Delhi offers MTech, MDes, MBA, MSc, MPP, MS by Research and MA at the PG level. The admission dates for these courses has not been announced yet. IIT Delhi accepts national-level entrance examinations like JAM, CAT, CEED and GATE. For some courses, candidates are required to appear for written/ interview rounds. Candidates pursuing a Master’s degree are required to fulfil the basic eligibility i.e., a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% or 6 CGPA in the relevant field.
IIT Delhi MTech admissions 2026 portal opened in March 2026. The last date has not been officially announced yet. IIT Delhi offers a diverse range of specialisations, such as Structural Engineering, Engineering Analysis and Design, Transportation Engineering, Control and Automation, and Electric Mobility in the MTech program. Candidates opting for MTech program are required to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria of BE/BTech with an aggregate of 60% or equivalent 6 CGPA, with a valid GATE Score. Candidates who have completed BTech with 8 CGPA from any of the IITs are eligible for direct admission without a GATE score. The approximate fees for MTech will be INR 17,500 per semester.
IIT Delhi PhD admission process for the academic session 2026 is ongoing. Though applications for this program are advertised in March/October and an interview and written exam is held during May/December, admission to the PhD program is possible at any time of the year. Admission to PhD is conducted through DRC (Department Research Committee), SRC (School Research Committee), and CRC ( Centre Research Committee). Candidates with 60% aggregate or 6 CGPA in relevant fields can apply for admissions. Further, they need to appear for a written exam followed by an interview round.
IIT Delhi UG and PG application process includes filling out the entrance exam application form, satisfying the cutoff, participating in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling and finally booking the college seat.
