The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is a special five-year course for students who have just finished their Class 12th and want to start their journey in management early. IIM Indore Admission Process for PGP-HRM

IIM Indore selects students for the PGP-HRM programme through a three-stage process:

Stage I - Eligibility Check

• Every applicant must first meet the CAT 2024 eligibility criteria and the minimum cutoff scores (both sectional and overall percentiles) mentioned in the CAT notification.
• Only those who meet these minimum requirements will move to the next stage of the selection process.

Stage II - Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)

• Candidates who clear the first stage are considered for the Personal Interview round.
• IIM Indore prepares a merit list based on each candidate’s Composite Score (CS). This score is calculated using their CAT 2024 performance and other academic factors.
• A sufficient number of candidates from each category (General, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD) are shortlisted for the PI based on this merit list.

Stage III - Final Selection

• Only those who complete the Personal Interview (PI) are considered for the final admission.
• The institute then creates a category-wise final merit list using a Final Composite Score (FCS), which includes the candidate’s performance in the CAT exam, PI, and other criteria.
• Based on this final list, provisional admission offers are made to selected candidates, following the Government of India’s reservation rules.

PGPMX Eligibility

To apply for this programme, you need to meet the following conditions:

• You must have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

One of the following qualifications is mandatory for the candidates to be eligible to apply for the Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM): 

• A Master’s degree in any subject with at least 60% marks.
• A Postgraduate Diploma (2 years) in any area of study with not less than 60% of the total marks.
• A professional course such as CA, ICWA, or CS with not less than 50% of the total marks as the medium of instruction or examination.
• Not less than 60% of the total marks in a five-year integrated Master’s degree in any field.
• Graduation from a recognised University of a minimum of four years with a First Class or its equivalent as the grading system for the B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com.

IIM Indore Admission Process for DPM

The selection process for the DPM programme happens in a few simple stages. Each stage helps the institute find candidates who are a good fit for the programme based on academics, aptitude, and interview performance.

Stage 1: Online Application

Candidates who meet the academic eligibility requirements must first fill out and submit the online application form with all the required details and documents.

Stage 2: Shortlisting for Personal Interview

After the applications are received, IIM Indore reviews them carefully. Based on academic background and valid test scores, each academic area shortlists candidates for the Personal Interview (PI) round. The interviews are usually conducted at the IIM Indore campus during March or April.

Stage 3: Performance in the Interview

Candidates are evaluated on several parameters during the PI, such as academic readiness, research potential, communication, and overall fit. A minimum performance level is required in all these parameters. Those who do not meet this minimum benchmark will not move to the next stage.

Stage 4: Final Selection

The final selection depends on the needs of each academic area. A merit list is prepared separately for each area based on PI performance, and provisional admission offers are then sent to the selected candidates.

DPM Monthly Fellowship

DPM students receive a monthly fellowship/stipend of INR 40,000 during the coursework (Terms I to V). After clearing the Area Comprehensive Examination, the stipend increases to INR 45,000 per month. The maximum duration for receiving this stipend is 57 months (4 years and 9 months).

Students also get a Research Development Grant of INR 37,500 per year for four years, supporting their research work as per programme norms. For conferences, financial support is provided as follows: National conferences are subsidised up to INR 30,000 per year, with participants allowed to attend multiple conferences from the second year onward within this limit. International conferences are supported up to INR 2,00,000 for a maximum of two international conferences, plus one International Doctoral Colloquium or Professional Development Workshop, within the total programme duration (not exceeding five years).

As the DPM is a full-time residential programme, students receive free boarding and lodging in the on-campus hostels. Limited paid accommodation may be available for married participants, subject to availability and programme rules.

The Executive Doctoral Programme in Management (EDPM) is a doctoral-level programme designed for experienced professionals aiming to pursue a PhD in Management while continuing their careers. Work Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of managerial, entrepreneurial, or professional experience after graduation is required as of the application deadline.

Academic Qualifications (any one of the following)

• Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average.
• Postgraduate Diploma (2 years) with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 50% marks.
• Five-year integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average.
• First-class or equivalent Bachelor’s degree (4 years / 8 semesters).

Additional Notes

• A minimum of 60% marks in either Class X or Class XII is required, along with at least second-class marks in the other.
• The bachelor’s degree must be from a recognized university established under an act of Parliament, a state legislature, or an equivalent institution approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
• For degrees obtained abroad, equivalence certification from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is mandatory.
• The bachelor’s degree must include at least three years of education after 10+2.
• For CGPA-based results, conversion to percentage should follow the system of the respective institution. If not available, it can be calculated as:

• Marks in Class X and Class XII should be the aggregate of all subjects listed on the marksheet, regardless of whether the board includes them for percentage calculation.

IIM Indore Admission Process for EDPM: 

There are four main stages in the selection of candidates for the EDPM at IIM Indore:

Stage 1: Online Application

Candidates who satisfy the academic eligibility criteria are required to submit their applications online.

Stage 2: Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)

The application forms are examined by the respective academic areas. Candidates who fulfill the academic requirements and have good scores in the standard tests are shortlisted for the Personal Interview at IIM Indore, which is usually held in March or April.

Note: The RAT will evaluate quantitative ability, verbal ability, and research skills. Shortlisting will be done on the same day, and the Personal Interview can also be held on the same day or the next day.

Stage 3: Personal Interview (PI) Performance

During the Personal Interview, candidates have to achieve a minimum performance standard in all aspects. The ones who fail to meet the standard will be eliminated and will not proceed to the final stage.

Stage 4: Final Selection

Final selection is done by the academic areas, which weigh the factors of a candidate's performance in the PI and the needs of each department. A merit list is created, and provisional admission offers are extended to the selected candidates.

The IIM Indore Admission Committee is the sole authority in charge of all decisions concerning admission to the EDPM.

The Executive Doctoral Programme in Management and Governance (EDPMG) is a research-based learning program in Management and Governance, which is designed for professionals who have experience and want to extend their knowledge. 

Students hone their analytical and leadership qualities through the support of the faculty of experts, cooperative peer learning, and actual research work. The program instills the practice of questioning, studying, and adding to the general knowledge among its participants, who are then well-equipped to make decisions based on sound judgment and lead with effectiveness and clarity.

Eligibility Criteria for EDPMG at IIM Indore

Applicants must, as per the application deadline, have at least 5 years of work experience (pay band Level 11 or above as per the 7th CPC) of an officer in the Indian Administrative Services or Indian Armed Forces.

Besides, applicants have to satisfy one of the following academic prerequisites:

• They should hold a Master’s degree in any discipline with not less than 60% of the total marks or an equivalent GPA.

• In case of a Postgraduate Diploma (2 years) the minimum marks required are 60% or an equivalent GPA.

• Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, or CS should have been completed with at least 50% marks.

• If it is an integrated Master's degree of five years in any field, the candidate should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks or the equivalent GPA.

• First-class/equivalent Bachelor's degree (4 years / 8 semesters) should be the candidate's academic background.

Besides those mentioned above, candidates must have at least 60% in Class X or Class XII, with second-class marks in the other.

IIM Indore Admission Process for EDPMG: 

If candidates meet the academic eligibility criteria mentioned above, they may apply through the online mode for the EDPMG program at IIM Indore. Based on their academic records, RAT scores, and personal interviews, candidates will be shortlisted from the pool of applicants after the submission of applications.

The RAT will be a test of quantitative skills, verbal ability, and research aptitude of candidates, and it will be held on April 19, 2025. Based on their performance in the RAT, candidates will be shortlisted for a personal interview at IIM Indore.

Those who successfully pass through both rounds will be sent an admission offer for the program, the start date of which is around the middle of July 2025. The IIM Indore admission committee is solely responsible for all admission decisions.
