Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota
Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota (IIIT Kota) was established in 2013 by the joint effort of the Ministry of Education, the Government of Rajasthan, and other industry partners. The institute functions under the guidance of Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur). In 2017, IIIT Kota was recognised as an Institute of National Importance under the IIIT Act.
IIIT Kota offers BTech, MTech and PhD courses in various departments like Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering. The admissions for BTech and MTech courses are conducted through JEE Mains and GATE entrance exams, respectively. The institute conducts an offline entrance exam and interview for admission to the PhD program.
The flagship program of IIIT Kota is the BTech program, which has the highest placement rate in 2024. Companies from major sectors offered more than 140 job offers to candidates of the BTech program. IIIT Kota Admission
IIIT Kota offers admission in BTech, MTech and PhD courses. Admission to the BTech program is done through JEE Mains and JoSAA counselling. Similarly, admission in MTech is done on the basis of a valid score in the GATE exam, followed by CCMT counselling. For the PhD program in IIIT Kota, candidates need to clear the institute’s entrance exam and an offline interview. IIIT Kota Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
IIIT Kota offers admissions in BTech, MTech and PhD programs. Admissions to BTech programs are conducted through JEE Mains and JoSAA counselling. The specialisations offered in the BTech program are Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering.
For admission in the MTech program, candidates need a valid score in the GATE exam. The courses will be allotted after the CCMT counselling session. IIIT Kota offers two specialisations in the MTech program, Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Admission to the PhD program is conducted through the institute's entrance exam. After the exam, shortlisted candidates need to appear for an offline interview. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website of the institute.

IIIT Kota Scholarships 2025
The scholarship programs provided by IIIT Kota are given below:
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Candidates with an annual income below INR 2.50 lakhs are eligible for the scholarship. This scholarship is only applicable to candidates belonging to a minority group(Muslim, Sikh, Parsi, Jain, Christian). Candidates require a minimum of 50% marks in the Class 12 exam from a recognised board. Under this scholarship, candidates will get a discount of INR 20,000 per annum on the tuition fees.
Central Sector Scholarship: Candidates from the SC category with an annual income below INR 8 Lakhs are eligible for the scholarship. The application process will be based on the candidate's rank in JEE Mains. Under this scholarship, candidates get a full discount on tuition fees along with an INR 36,000 allowance to cover living expenses.
National Fellowship & Scholarship for Higher Education: This scholarship is applicable for candidates from the ST category who secured admission in NIT. Under this scholarship, Candidates get a full discount on tuition fees and an INR 36,000 allowance for living expenses.
